Whoa there, Lonzo has major outs to being one of the best ever, KP is a bit overhyped at this point and for that reason the trade would have been great. I see Lonzo as someone who's going to make all of his teammates play beautiful basketball, not sure about the others.

I think there are similarirties between him and Jokic in that other players start playing for each other the moment he steps out on the floor. Point guards like Russ and CP3 have this way of controlling the game but on their terms, whereas I think Lonzo trusts and empowers his teammates into being better versions of themselves.

I have little to back that up data-wise, but my that's what my eyes have told me every time I've seen him play.

Saying KP is "a bit overhyped" is ridiculously generous. He makes some visually amazing plays but isnt a very good player. Hes the most overhyped player in the league.

He has an outside chance at becoming a top 20 player if he stops being addicted to his own farts. Hes drawing completely dead to be a top 5 player.

Lonzo is not only drawing very live to be a top 5 player hes drawing live to be the greatest player who ever lived.

my ">>>>" was an obvious troll. But we'll have to wait (and wait) and see how Frank and Lonzo stack up against each other. A priori, they will be similar types of players and it looks kinda close to me.

You might actually be right TuT. I think he's more live to be a top 20 player than you do, but he's consistently put into the Embiid/Giannis/Towns conversation while the guy below is excluded. I do think he's had an unfair set of circumstances, but let's me honest Nikola would have made them a top 5 offense even with their roster and scheme.

ok - if you really think that then good for you.

I have no idea who you think is in the convo for GOAT. Maybe LBJ, MJ? Is that the idea? How about Wilt and Kareem? And more to the point, perhaps, given that Lonzo is likely to be (thought of) as a PG, Magic?

Why on earth is he drawing live to be better than those? Other than he had goodish outcomes against other NCAA players? Did he take his team to the Nat Champs?

Well Lonzo has already accomolished being the best offensive college freshman of all time (maybe player in general) and also just turned in arguably the best summer league performance of alltime too. Makes no sense at all to continue to doubt his greatness.
08-15-2017 , 08:51 PM
Yeah we all know Summer League performance correlates well.

Plus his poor first game performance and he didn't even play the championship game.

Your trolling is usually better than this Tut.

IDK, freshman who dominates college ball (likely top 1-5 pick)+ dominate summer league is likely to have a good shot at being successful in the NBA. It's one thing to be a 22 or 23 year old senior who dominated college / summer league but freshman who do both I'm betting are going to be good/great performers in the NBA.

Dominate college ball = losers limp the second he sees d'aaron fox.

Jokic is certainly not excluded - by me, at least. Your (full) list is exactly the collection of younguns already in the league with (slim) GOAT equity I was referring to.

E.g., leaving winding up Seadood aside, I don't have Nurk anywhere near having that possibility. (Tho' I do think Nurk's EV is a very good player itl.)

[Obv, of the not young generation LBJ, Steff, Katie, Kawhi &AD have goat/top5oat equity.]

IDK

Top 5 NBA Equity of Young Guys:

Jokic
Giannis
KAT
Ball
Fultz
Embiid
Simmons
Gobert

I think Ball/Embiid/Giannis/KAT have very small top 5 OAT equity.
08-15-2017 , 09:12 PM
Taps, I normally never agree with Wooderson, but I think at best he has top 20 current NBA equity.

ball had a calf strain in practice a week before summer league, its no surprise they didnt want him playing 3 games in 4 nights.

going back and forth with another guard isn't going to be lonzo's thing anyways, hes always going to lose those "battles" in the eyes of the public. if thats what youre expecting from him.

let us not be distracted by the real story though, d'aaron fox got his ass handed to him in that game by a guy who will never play in a meaningful nba game. ac fresh bitches.

Jokic never getting credit or put in that group, what? It's been a non-stop game of soggy biscuit with fans and media about him since late last season.
