It's either lol or prescient, it's subjective until time passes.

People thought it was a 2 man draft when if was KAT and DAR. If they didn't, they extended it out one pick to include Okafor.

He also has outs to a decent pick.

Still don't understand why LA should give up ****loads of assets to get PG now if he wants to go there anyway in 2018

Clarkson's contract + two very late 1sts doesn't seem like much at all
06-20-2017 , 07:16 PM
Only thing I guess you can say is if you deal him/Moz now then you can take a 1yr deal back and still get the cap room to sign guys.

Whereas if you wait a year then itll be harder to execute the deal.

You run the risk of Miami or some other team (Houston, New York, Atlanta, etc) coming in where maybe he ends up resigning there after a year of success (imagine him taking Miami/Atlanta to 55-60 wins and wins MVP for example).

I picked those specific locales over like a Portland, but even then, who knows?

It's a balancing act for everyone.

Also if he goes to another team like Houston, Miami, ATL, Cle then they can pay him 5/200 possibly and LAL can only do 4/154.

I don't mind dealing for PG now as long as you keep Lonzo/Ingram but dealing Russell just to get rid of Moz seems like a panic move.

They are dealing Russell prematurely though.

Unless Magic knows something. We'll see what happens.

So so so happy to see DAR rot on the nets. What a bondafide loser he is in every way

Magic GOAT

I guess the Lakers have seen enough to know DAR isn't the future and it'll ruin the development of Ball. As someone else mentioned, DAR is likely really, really dumb which is a huge issue for a PG.

Celtics only get the Lakers pick if it's in the #2-5 range. If it's out of that range they get the 2019 Kings pick (top 1 protected).

Sixers keep it if it's 1 or 6+ and the Celtics will instead get the 2019 Kings top 1 protected.

no, draymond would guard him if it came down to it. he is the best post defender on the team

good deal for the nets. fine deal for the lakers since it frees space, though it highlights the lolness of the mozgov deal in the first place. kinda feel like it reduces their shot at paul george though

yea, this sort of scenario is exactly why ainge wanted the 2-5 protection.

Draymond is a great post defender, but against a skilled 7'1 post player that can shoot and pass I think his height is just too much of a problem. Luckily for Green there aren't many of those types in the league anymore. That being said I don't envision a world where Brook signs on with a team that would give the Warriors troubles.

i understand writing off draymond's ability to defend in the post due to his height*, but he's actually a great post defender. teams used to go at him all the time thinking the same, though they are smarter about it now. but even if he was just good for his size he'd still be a better post defender than zaza

*chuck hayes also comes to mind as a short player who was a great post defender (and defender in general)

All because Magic Johnson is the ultimate executive.
