Best part of Lonzomania is all the free monies floating around in Southern California right now. Lakerfan is very dedicated and delusional here.

I've missed Summer League more than I ever do this year. How's my boy Swanigan looked? Saw he was named 1st team

My man Kuzma with all of the substance and none of the MVP awards. Must have been how Shack felt many years.

Jesus Christ man! Let Lakerfan have a little fun! It's been a long five years!

He didn't win final game MVP?

I think you're the poster I briefly discussed him with. He looked solid. Obviously rebounding well, good shooting touch out to basically 3 range (he might have even made a couple of those), surprisingly good passer, excellent at setting on ball screens. I looked for the horrid D you described, and might have seen some of that in slow reactions and bad angles he took on help D, but nothing really stood out as WOAT or anything.

Probably a HIPAA violation by the arena staff to make the scoreboard display Magic's T-cell count.

Good. Boiler Up and go Caleb. Regardless of what me or anyone else thinks, Swanigan is immediately the hardest working player in the league. He went from an overweight Frosh to a cut Soph with the ability to shoot 40% from 3 after like 28% his FR year. I don't have high hopes for him due to his obvious limitations but I love watching him excel

He shot 73% from 2 point attempts in college, his wart isn't that he can't finish with that long, lengthy frame, its that he's too straight upright to play good defense(and he couldn't in college).

Biggest issue I see going forward with Lonzo's finishing would be his unwillingness to initiate contact with bigs when he gets even. He hasn't been using his off shoulder to bump the defender off balance or create space. This pretty much goes uncalled for guys like Lebron, Russ, Derozan etc. Going to get his shot swatted until he fixes it.

Pretty easy to fix this, especially as he gets stronger. Heck even little i. thomas learned how.

Hello TZ,

We have 1 opening in the infamous fantasy basketball N League if anyone is interested. The league is mostly TZ people (myself, Bobbo, Thayer, SirWatts, TimmayB, Christopherson, among others), and is meant to closely replicate being an actual NBA GM including salary cap, a rookie draft with lottery, free agency, etc.

Another important note is that it's weekly lineups, so you don't have to monitor it day to day.

The league buy-in depends on your team's salary and if you're in the luxury tax, but most teams were ~$150 for last season. It's a very fun league, this is Year 5 so it's pretty developed. PM me if you're at all interested and I can link you to the open team, rules, etc. The rookie draft starts in <1 week, followed by free agency, so we're looking to get the spot filled pretty fast.

I'll take a look at the roster.

Also quick shout-out to Daro being a scumbag. Pay up or at least address the situation bro, the ducking is shameful and disrespectful
07-18-2017 , 01:39 PM
What's the situation?
07-18-2017 , 01:59 PM
He owes z32 some straight cash homie

Damn. Another one bites the dust.

Man.. how hard is it to just not bet outside of your means? I definitely pushed the edge a few times when I was 20, but TZ seems to be mostly filled with 30-somethings and KC at this point. Disappointing these things keep happening.
07-18-2017 , 02:39 PM
KC is a 40something? Man I was off, would have thought 50's.
07-18-2017 , 02:43 PM
I think you're right. Does my post suggest he's a 40 something?
07-18-2017 , 02:45 PM
KC is on social security
07-18-2017 , 02:47 PM
Yeah I spend all the N3 moniez and I pay out with government checks

I shouldn't talk, I might be the oldest reg here.

Looking back at some Plumlee/Nurk posts I find many LOLs and me being right about his contract.

I mean, I assume the plan is to extend Mason and give him $80M? He's gonna want that (maybe more?)

ill take the over on 4/60 for plum's next contract

Plumlee is about to turn 27 and you're about to give him at least $70M to be a backup who can't play defense or you're renting him to be below average instead of bad for a little while

I think Plumlee gets at least 80M
Thay3r had some good ones but I didn't post because he was mostly right.

There were several others saying he'd get paid, while I offered bets that he wouldn't and predicted 4/32. Looks like he will get less for that and probably be worth a first at some point in that deal. So they traded #20 this year for Plumlee on a very reasonable deal that they can flip for similar value in the future... which is precisely what I predicted as others were talking about paying him 80M. Some GMs understand the market, while other ones (Lolshey) do not.

Having Nurk do a 180 after getting traded hurts though. The trade was obviously a major win for the Blazers, but considering he was a sunk cost with Denver I think it's working out well for them.
