Ball should have 3-4 more assists but his teammates keep ****ing up/getting fouled

Kuzma called "AND-1" on a post up fade away air ball that wasn't called a foul. Where amazing happens

When is Millsap close to top 20? You mean like he's close to a top 20 player in the L?

He went 4 in the draft and Fox,Isaac,DSJ, and Mitchell have all looked great. Him dropping a few spots to 8 isnt a crazy take at all.

Ball is so sweet. I never been so excited to watch someone pass. It remind me of Jason Williams. 70 foot dime. Hesitation feed dude blew the layup.

Crazy, no. Wrong, yes.

Also I don't understand the summer league means nothing people. For rookies we only have like 30 games of college vs complete scrubs to go off of and everyone feels fine projecting based on that but 5 more recent games on NBA courts vs much better competition and people act like it means nothing. Gotta change up your rookie rankings after summer league. DSJ/Mitchell/JCollins and really the whole draft class relative to most years has to go up in people's minds.
Jonny Flynn was summer league MVP. So was Tyus Jones. I don't think it means very much at all.

Rubio took .4 pull-up 3's a game and shot 19%, Hill took 1.9 and shot 41%. That makes quite a difference in how they'll be defended, imo.

I'm having a hard time seeing how this doesn't make Gobert's job a lot tougher.
Rubio is hyper-mega-elite at passing to everyone but esp the roll man

That's not how playing with Rubio works. I am curious if Joe Ingles will be their leading scorer tho.

Kyrie looked like a scrub in spurts of his first SL game. Getting stuffed and the like.

think the player tracking on nba.com pnr indicates only scoring efficiency. rubio being ~50% ile scoring isn't that surprising in that regard

Haha

I'm still taken aback by the efficiency numbers he put up as a second year guy. He was the best mid-range shooter and post-up player when factoring in attempts. This is on top of his GOAT passing skills.

All this in year 2 as a 21 year old.
God damn that first paragraph is in serious need of basic editing.

I think it is compared to George Hill on a team starved for creation but we'll see.

That ringer redraft had him at 8 which is seems about right at this point. Its still tempting to take Frank the mysterybox over him because the mysterybox could be something really good if it holds the right prize.
Not being a scorer in summer league seems pretty much guaranteed to be overlooked.

I agree with him probably being eightish in a redraft though.

Jonny Flynn wasn't MVP that year, Blake was.

Also for Tyus he was much better last year than his rookie year and anyways I'm only talking about rookie players. Vets should crush and we already have an idea of how they stack up vs NBA players.

Only 3 rookies have won summer league MVP since 2009. Wall, Blake and Dame.

Kyrie didn't play a single minute of summer league.

Also these one off examples are dumb as ****. It's not an argument. No one is arguing that everyone who looks great in summer league is a steal of a pick and all the guys that look like garbage are busts. But for rookies it definitely means something. Give me DSJ, Mitchell and John Collins vs Frank, Zach Collins and TJ Leaf any day.

I don't think anyone should be massively changing a redraft based on 3 Summer League games. That said, JJ at 8 was probably right to begin with. Lol JJ.

Also thank you for the bold. TZ could patent this technique lately.

Looking bad is more meaningful than looking good imo, if that makes any sense.

I didn't know that Frank has looked like garbage in SL.

Toughest to guard doesn't mean the helping your team the most to win basketball games though.

A player who cant be guarded by anyone the planet and can average 30ppg in the finals while draining big shots helps wins basketball games.

Well I'm sure you could put Leonard on him to almost shut him down but thats not going to be optimal whatsoever with Lebron roaming freely.

Pretty sure he was in Orlando. Don't know if that's technically SL or whatever.
