I'm gonna go all conspiracy theorist and assume that Melo hated THJr, and they shipped THjr out of town partially to appease Melo. But now they're bringing THJr back to give Melo extra motivation to waive the no trade clause.

Can't find where you're hiding the Summer League thread so just gonna stick this here

Donovan Mitchell is for real. WIM in his blood

He can sneak a ROY if jazz offense is so bad he gets the keys

Yup. Love Mitchell's game. Going to be really good eventually.

JR back in that era would have GOATed, I'm not saying he's great or the Knicks did well or anything

This is a hotter take than your first one.

Hardaway had a pretty good year and is just 25. 4/60 would have been good. Have to pay a little more when you're the Knicks aka the biggest joke in sports.

Hoping Atlanta matches though, and I think they might.

But it's certainly a major injury. I don't expect Rudy to have a huge role though.
Wes went from a team that one 54 games to one that just won 50. His injury clearly impacted his ability to perform. Not to mention he went to a team with a better coach.

Wes was also fat and lazy to begin with. Rudy is a significantly more impressive athlete. He'll bounce back better than Wes did.

This is a pretty good theory.

Isn't Wes Matthews known for being one of the harder workers in the NBA?

Also Gay relying on his athleticism might be reason for concern.

This is a test for your new GM. You are rooting for no match.
Agree with this.

If you look at the cap and FA's next offseason. Teams are gonna be giving up 2 1sts to get rid of guys. Hawks should be looking to take on the Carroll/Mahimni/RAndersons of the world and getting 2 1sts out of it.

ATL should just not match. They're gonna suck the next 2-3 years anyway. Hardaway is a pretty good scorer as well, type of guy that makes a horrible team just bad and then you don't get as high a pick.

Woj tweeted A.Bradley going to Detroit. No idea for what. Hopefully nothing valuable unless were unloading Drummond somehow(i know salarys would make it impossible)

Sounds like its for Marcus Morris. Meh I dont mind getting rid of Morris for one year of Bradley. Already have T.Harris who is similar but better then Morris under contract.

Marcus Morris. Not sure what else is involved.

Bradley for Morris.

Seems terrible for the Celtics but Morris is getting $10mil over the next 2 years, so pretty damn cheap.

Celts weren't paying Bradley and IT their market value. Would be a huge luxury tax bill.

Think IT probably gets paid now (although I don't think he gets the max given his age/PG market being tight)

Morris will probably start at PF. Would think he can shoot the ball way better than he did for Det, C's have guys/ball movement/system to get him better looks.

I'm not sure what Bradley gets next summer exactly but the way the RFA market is looking dry this year, probably like 2x what Smart will get. Bradley has had a lot of durability issues too.

Re-signing Smart for 10-12per vs Bradley for 18-19 seems like the right move. Keep Crowder/Morris on nice deals and that is a good core.

The big thing for the Celtics is they balance out their roster a bit while clearing out the space to sign Hayward.

Makes sense for Pistons too since Bradley is the better player (#analysis).
