Iggy is closer to Manu than Crowder.

You really waste Crowder as a bench player.
I'm just saying he could have the same minutes, though his role would be different. Stevens may have 8 guys playing 25-30 mpg. Crowder might come off the bench but be part of a crunch time smallball unit that finishes most close games while playing close to starter minutes.

Definitely smart of Hayward to go East. Someone gets it.

OTTO might go to Utah, the Jazz would be so sweet

Nate Duncan saying Celts basically have to move Smart now.

I'm super high on Smart, would LOVE for him to start next to Giannis!

It's time! Number 1 offensive option, Joe Ingles.

The Rudy Gay show in Utah? Should pump up Jazz fans.

Predictions for Olynyk contract?

What exactly does Orlando need Jamychal Green for?

Really gunning for the 8-seed.

Super rough guess.... 15mil/year.

+- 3mil/year would be about the range I'm expecting but who knows. Could be more for teams needing to fill space.

I've read they have to move one of Smart, Bradley, Crowder or Rozier. I doubt Smart is the one that gets moved.
07-04-2017 , 08:33 PM
If Hayward got the max, Rozier isn't enough. Smart getting moved for some picks makes sense. Could be Bradley I guess. Or they could be moved for a cheaper rookie contract big.

The only 4s & 5s Celtics have right now are like Horford & Zizic, so they kind of need Crowder to eat some 4 minutes.

Hayward's essay is about 1000x more impressive than KD's blurb. I imagine a lot of people in OKC would feel differently if he left with something like this.

Sorry Jazz fan(s?).

LOL Magic geez

The Celtics aren't going to have difficulty adding talent to the future roster. They've got:

1. 2018 first round draft pick from Brooklyn
2a. 2018 first round draft pick from L.A. Lakers (if 2-5); otherwise
2b. 2019 1st round pick from Sacramento (if 2+) or 2019 1st round pick from Philadephia (if 2+); Celtics get more favorable pick
3. 2019 first round draft pick from L.A. Clippers (if 15+)
4. 2019 first round draft pick from Memphis (if 9+)

I've thought the LOL Ainge stuff was weird. The Celtics' rebuild is way ahead of schedule. It started at the same time as Philadelphia's and the 76ers seem to be getting almost exclusively praised for where the franchise is headed.

After the Celtics dealt Garnett and Pierce, the team shouldn't have been in the playoffs for years. Yet, they've been there for three of those four seasons and got better every year without sacrificing anything in the longterm rebuild.
07-04-2017 , 08:46 PM
Eventually they will need to cash in all those pieces; they only have so many spots to fill with young guns.

Unreal how dumb the Nets are, you can thank the Nets for days.
07-04-2017 , 08:54 PM
Celtics are obviously in great shape going forward. Would be in much better shape with Lonzo is all.
07-04-2017 , 08:55 PM
The interesting thing is that the LeBron teams stagnate because they never have a way of infusing talent into their roster to complement their max players.

The Celtics don't have that problem at all & have lots of ways to supplement their stars... the problem is their stars aren't that good unless Tatum comes out way over expectations or they get something big out of 2018 draft.
