Kyrie has much better handles, creation and and can actually shoot 3s though

DeRozan has consistently sucked in the playoffs while Kyrie has been good overall (even though he regressed this season, still was much better than DeRozan ever has been in the playoffs and is particularly valuable vs the Woyas)

Kyrie is better and a better fit I'm not arguing that, I'm just saying the idea that X player can't be a second best player on a team isn't really a thing if the rest of the team is constructed somewhat differently.

It feels like another narrative, which is especially easy to buy into now that there are basically two superteams so it feels like some team construction are never viable again, but it just isn't as viable now because the other two are so much better.

I'm not sure I can name a championship team in the last 30 years where replacing the 2nd best player with DDR 'improves' their title odds

raps will supposedly have derozan playing point more. his handle is ok-ish but he seems like a really bad passer. expect it not to go well, though maybe it'll preserve lowry

Is there a worse nba "writer/twitterer/podcaster" than James Holace aka Snottie Drippin'? He's on the Bill Simmons level of homerism, yet when others try to argue with him he gets all defensive. I like some of the guys from that crew, but listening to him talk about the Celtics makes me want to stick an umbrella up my ass and open it.

95% of them are awful. So, probably?

Defrozen and Staps are both garbage. Hope this helps.

Snottie drippen does become kinda petulant during arguments on Twitter, but idk about podcasts

edit: he's also one of these dudes who seems enjoy reveling in his own anti-analytics mindset

He treats people that he's sucking up to differently than some rando arguing with him in twitter, which I find off-putting and cowardly if that makes sense. Simmons is a raging homer, but he does it in a way that's at least entertaining to the point where he laughs at himself at the same time.

I find Coach Nick to be surprisingly good, but having James on his pods makes it a harder listen.

Picked this up reading Randolph's wiki. In 07-08, GSW won 48 games and missed the playoffs.

Yeah I remember that year, the West was so sick... Phoenix won 55 games and were the 6th seed and Denver had a pythag of 51 and were 8th. This has been happening for over 20 years now, and all that it's accomplished is give better draft picks and unwarranted attention to the freaking Celtics... a team who doesn't sniff home court in the first round like ever in the West.

Anything that can up their Doncic equity by more than 1% is a must-do

Dolan selling Knicks (maybe he'll call that 3.5 billions estimated value), and Knicks picking Doncic next draft would be the greatest thing that ever happened in the city of New York

Just saw videos of LeBron playing pickup this offseason.

Holy **** the dude is fit. He looks like a different person, and 20 years old.

I say he plays to at least age 40.

Eventually they will come up with a test that pops for whatever he's using

Silver probably has the proof and doesn't give a flying **** about it.

even the best current testing procedures are way behind, retested samples from 2004 and 2008 Olympics produced about 5% positive results even though close to 100% of Olympians were using

whatever the top flight athletes are taking right now is pretty much undetectable, if done right. by the time procedures catch up LeBron will be long retired, samples destroyed or stature of limitations expired

Trying to work out who the top 10 in the SI list is, because it should be obvious who has been missed, and I'm missing one. It's doing my head in.

LBJ
KD
Steph
Russ
Harden
Brow
CP3
Draymond
Giannis

Who have I left off?

Kiwi, nevermind
