Houston is an awesome city if you're young rich and black.

Disappointed in no cp3 to the spurs, clearly Morey is greatest gm in the nba, dude gets deals done even when you think it's impossible wow.

I guess Boston could move way up if they some how get Gordon / George + fill bench with decent role players. At this point, it seems silly though to pay for George to literally have to roll for the Warriors and Cavs to have serious injuries in the playoffs.
rockets on paper is the 2nd best team without cp3 imo, with cp3 they get alot better, not sure how the dynamic between cp3 and harden works though, we will see i guess.

Its ok, its all part of the plan to have Kahwi/Lebron/Pop combo in 2018.

Swap Spurs and Houston imo, the Spurs roster is looking sneaky-bad without getting one of the remaining FA point guards, and not thaaat great with it.

With the super max it's probably a bad long term deal for Houston, right?
06-28-2017 , 12:04 PM
Houston's window is not long-term though LL, but yeah probably.

Someone on twitter reminded me of how floppy this team could be with Randy/CP3/Harden. Still must watch though!

You play to win. I think 34 years old CP3 will still be a decent player imo he's just so smart. You probably end up having 1 or 2 terrible value years out of him but they have such a great shot at the title if say KD goes down for example, that's enough not to care about the end of his contract
06-28-2017 , 12:07 PM
Yeah I get that, I like the move but there will be a couple of terrible years at the back end of the contract
06-28-2017 , 12:08 PM
Paul George doesn't want to play PF. Bird insisting on it was arguably the thing that set this whole ugly breakup in motion.

Agreed

Yeah people have been talking about CP3 declining for a few years now. Hasn't happened yet. Obv the shoe will drop at some point and the final years of the contract will be bad but still a net positive move for the Rox

Can Tatum play the 4?
06-28-2017 , 12:11 PM
Rockets being able to keep Randerson is actually pretty good here - allows them to make a possible move for George

Morey still GOATing, moved a perennial 8th-9th seed to top 3-4 team just on personnel moves

While I agree with this in general, CP3 is just essentially super duper Beverly no?

I mean even if they add PG at this point they're still dogs to beat GSW but things at least start getting interesting.

So CP3 gets max money from resigning with his team and also gets to move from 13.3% income tax to 0%? Well played sir.

I think they got rid of the sign and trade letting you get the super max, he's getting less money overall but not by much.

This move alone doesnt really put them in any better spot than they were before imo. Rockets/spurs will still be very close. I mean this spurs roster beat the rockets without a pg, i agree its not good but i dont think this rockets roster is much better as is.

Lebron gonna be in Houston next year.

82games says Hayward plays SG half the time last season; not sure how accurate their data is but it's definitely more than I know. I guess he could in theory transition there if that's what would be required of him to move to Boston. His best stats are when he plays SG btw.

82games had George as 1/6th of the time playing PF.
Bball reference has Hayward playing 60% SF 40% PF this season and Joe johnson split between SG/SF/PF. Obviously JJ never played SG, but Jazz lineups with Ingles/Hayward/JJ are tough to read

Anyone remember the Game of Zones where CP3 and Harden had a flop battle?
