He won't leave if he and GSW are successful, and I doubt he gets more on the open market. Think they just bid against themselves.

TBH I'm not that impressed with the Woyas moves save for Curry's contract. Iggy is grate, but giving up 2 first for him when you have some redundancy at the position seems a bit much. It's almost like they are securing a high floor, ceiling be damned.
Much rather pay 3/14 than 4 or 5 at 10/yr. Meshes better with other contracts. Also, if he stayed healthy he would he easily worth the $

What do you actually mean by saying securing a high floor team . As in what have they foregone with these signings? Being over the cap is irrelevant , provided that the owner is cool with it. It's not like they gave up the chance to sign labron or something

They trade one like OKC traded Harden

good deal for both teams
10-25-2013 , 09:39 PM
They don't even have to do that. Klay 's rookie deal would end the same year as bogut's, Barnes the following year, plus David Lee is off the books by then

how do we feel about len for ROY at 25-1?

i mean it's almost definitely +EV but i'm not sure it's enough edge to justify a super long term bet.

yeah, Bogut signing seems fine regardless of "value". low opportunity cost, and they're in the right spot to take a gamble like this for any ring equity. plus Bogut is awesome.

SMIFF

i think the dirty boges deal is pretty silly fwiw. what are the odds that he is healthy enough this year such that some team will be willing to pay more than that in FA? seems more likely that he has more injury issues and his value continues to erode.

otoh it's prob a good sign about his current state of health, so that's good news for teh woyas at least.

this is still the league where javale mcgee makes basically the same as andrew bogut right?

He hasn't been playing much. He's healthy but not in full game shape yet I don't think. I don't know, I don't really seem him ever winning it.

6 dunks in 2.5 minutes in LA. lol
10-25-2013 , 10:47 PM
Yeah, if you wanted to post every minute of Andrew Bogut's last two seasons you should have at least spoiler'd that sh*t. Not all of us have FIOS you know
10-25-2013 , 10:56 PM
Bogut:

  • will be 29yo in two weeks
  • played in 44 of his last 185 reg season games in which he averaged 26 minutes.
In other words he played in less than 13% of the team's regulation minutes over last 185 reg season games.

Steph an Co. didn't dump it to him much on offense last postseason iirc. Legit D though.

will be 33.5 years old towards end of contract #failGSW

Not really a fan of giving up the ~15th pick for a year of product-of-the-nash-system gortat.
10-25-2013 , 11:08 PM
is willie green actually gonna get minutes for the clips? my god he's bad
10-25-2013 , 11:34 PM
wiz need to dump that nene contract and resign gortat. if you can get him at the same ~7mm/year, its a good signing.
