Everyone loses it on occasion but cmon Cuban, it's pretty clearly a harmless joke and he should be a good enough sport to take a little ribbing. He seemed to have taken it like they did that completely clueless about basketball and just made a real dumb choice.

It was sad, like I could see they were clearly effected by his reaction and one almost seemed to tear up a bit. Cuban better have apologized for his petty ass tantrum.

I mentioned this earlier in the year but the best team in the league should never ever get blown out on their home court by 40 points in the 3rd quarter. I was pumped for this game, and it's so bad for the league. Milwaukee had no intensity and Boston came in ready to kick their ass.

Warriors got blown out and trailed Memphis by 52 points in the third quarter of Game 5 of the second round last year. I wouldn't take a lot of notice of 1 game.

I don’t even watch basketball until the play in tournaments these days. It’s a huge joke. What’s the 60 game schedule like a normal sport. Basketballs never intended to be played in back to back days. Just look at the number of games played last year for the people who made all NBA. There’s a shocking number of them under 60.

Well not the modern version of the game, that's true.

saw seffy saying on twitter a couple months back that make or miss shooting luck decides ~20% of games, i guess meaning that the better team wins ~80%?

NHL has the same problem as NBA. MLB is fine clearly you can't compare a noncontact game to the other tw

That's a horrible stat, I mean it was 50-30 like mid 2nd....Sure Celts had hot shooting to start but obviously quality of looks for both teams is going to change a ton once one team is up 20 then 30 then 40, Bucks probably got a lot of decent looks 2nd half to smooth things out

I also didn't watch but for a straight blowout like that, it just isn't a good stat. It's basically a pickup game by the 9 min mark of the 3rd

I just can't see them cutting regular season games if there is $ to be made

Doesn't seem like many teams are hurting for home attendance revenue either

Yeah it's a pipe dream. Maybe some combination of mid season tourney (replace ~7 games) and some relegation type system would at least make the reg season more bearable.

Speaking of load management, the new CBA seems to have a provision for 65 games played minimum for postseason awards. It mention some caveats, which are not detailed in the article. Probably something to do with injuries. But the way teams report injuries these days I could see that being abused but at least it’s a step in the right direction. Stuff like all NBA selection can have a huge impact on contract bonuses like Ja who could lose it like 40 million if he doesn’t make all NBA this year.

Pacers with a horrible win last night. Might literally make the difference between 7th and 8th pick in the lotto, which is huge. Can't even take right...

There is never a big difference between those 2 picks historically. There will always be some flops and rough diamonds beyond the top 5

The issue is in the EV of the spot. In 7th, your chances of ending up top 4 are 32%. In 8th it drops to 26%. In addition, in 8th you have a 73% chance of picking 8th-10th (specifically, 9th gains a lot of equity). By contrast, if you're 7th, your chances of drafting in 8th-10th are only 48%

So yeah, this is a stacked draft, obviously the top 2 are probably going to be elite players, but it's significantly better to be 7th than 8th.

Windhorse just sickens me and I have to smile at him for pretty much the same reason. He will roll around and try and jump coattails for his career it seems .

I'm calling "Wemby" is good, but not great and as probably expected he deals with injuries. And scoots a bust. 2+2 will be gone by the end of the career probably but I'm putting it out there so a grey bush Mclovin can give me ten million points.
