I don't think he will have many problems guarding taller 2's. He looks really long and quick plus he's around 210. His physical profile is comparable to Tony Allen so it is definitely possible for him to guard multiple positions. I like him guarding the opposing guard when Giannis is playing the 1. Thomas allows the Buck's to play a really long lineup with Giannis, Thomas, Brogdon, Middleton, and Maker.

Decline. Tobias would be a great addition for the offense but it would be a team downgrade on the defensive end. Beverly is 29 and coming off injury. If the Bucks want to be actual contenders in 2-3 years, their best chance is to try and assemble the league's best defense. Their goal should be to surround Giannis with as many 3+D players as possible with no defensive liabilities for opposing teams to exploit. This playoff's has really shown that being a defensive liability can be just as exploitable as an offensive liability.

The Buck's need to maximize their chances of hitting Giannis' peak. Like the debate about the Warriors being perfectly suited for Curry, the Buck's need to find that for Giannis. It would also be nice to see if an elite switchable defense could counter the trend of elite offenses. Hopefully the Buck's have a crew studying the Celtic's post season D.

Bucks are 9th in Orat and 19th in Drat; they're not really close to being an elite defensive squad. The only way they could possibly do that is to add someone like Gobert or Embiid or something and those 2 guys are almost impossible to get unless you shipped Giannis.

they've been 23rd, 19th and 19th in drat the last 3 years. seems like it'll take something else to make a giant leap from mediocre/below average to elite. thon was a pretty awful player this season, i know he looked better in the playoffs, but not really that great.
