I hope I don't start getting that BlazerFan problem where they see a potential trade target playing good against POR and that convinces them they must be acquired. Didn't Bill Simmons have this with BOS?

this thought will run counter to common wisdom, but i think the jazz play too slowly to beat the woyas. woyas defense is actually more vulnerable in transition than the halfcourt in a lot of the cases and i don't think the jazz are an exception. they don't want to play super fast obv, but even with a full lineup i don't think they would be able to generate a sufficient amount of offense strictly playing in halfcourt sets

Ya that seems like a solid point. It also allows the warriors to be at full energy on defense which obv makes them tough. this is probably the sharpest defensively they've looked all year. I actually thought the Jazz played a good half, just couldn't make a shot. Of course this game is whatever with Hill & Favors out.

i think halfcourt is ok, just can't be plodding at all times. prob need some capacity to play fast, even if only selectively

and having said all that, the jazz are getting killed in transition atm. first one was off a turnover so hard to really blame the transition d itself, but on that curry 3 they had a bunch of guys back and gave curry the cushion

All POR can do with Cousins is send out Leonard to try to piss him off with fouls (Leonard 5 fouls, 0pts). There really is nothing else they can do.
