THE FACTS
The Woyas led the NBA in wins behind a historically great point differential, leading the league in drtg, and putting up the #2 ortg. They have been a juggernaut all season long on both ends of the floor, hoisting the trophy seems a mere formality at this stage.
The Cavs started the season slow, before coming home strong behind a rejuvinated LeBron and some timely trades. An injury to so-called star Kevin Love turned out to be a minor bump in the road as the Cavs rolled through the East with ease.
The Warriors look the goods, but LeBron is LeBron.
THE ODDS
Woyas -240 - 68%
Cavs +200 - 32%
THE TEAMS
WOYAS
Coach - Steve Kerr
Kerr has built a rock solid culture at the Woyas in his first year on the job, and his collaborative style has seen his staff produce some inventive tactical solutions in the playoffs thus far. Can he handle the pressure of the NBA finals??? Obviously yes since he has 5 rangz.
PG - Steph Curry
A charmed MVP season has continued into the playoffs, with Curry averaging 29ppg so far (32usg, 62ts, 44% from 3 on 11 attempts/g). Can the Cavs slow his roll?
SG - Klay Thompson
Killa Klay has had a muted playoffs despite the Woyas success. Last seen bleeding from the ear, the Woya's chances rise exponentially if he can regroup and put a substandard WCF series behind him.
SF - Harrison Barnes
Barnes has put in another minor but important supporting role for the Woyas in the playoffs. A strong jumpshooter who will likely spend time being guarded by LeBron, his ability to be a factor offensively is key. How effective can he be on LeBron?
PF - Draymond Green
Green has done it all for the Woyas all year, and will be asked to keep it up vs the Cavs. Guarding LeBron and keeping Tristan Thompson off the glass are only a couple of major responsibilities thrust upon the DPOY runner up.
C - Andrew Bogut
Bogut will again be tasked with defensive anchor duties vs the Cavs attack that features dangerous slashing from ballhandlers and strong finishing from the bigs. Staying out of foul trouble is a priority.
The Bench
How much time will Iguodala spend on LeBron? Can Livingston EXPOSE Delly? Will David Lee play more than 10 non-blowout minutes? Were you aware the Woyas have a guy named Ognjen Kuzmic?
CAVS
Coach - David Blatt
A rocky year for Blatt has come good at just the right time, with public displays of affection with Bronny at an all-time high. Can he earn the respect of the team and lead them to a ring?
PG - Kyrie Irving
Can the young Cavs PG go toe to toe with the MVP? How will leg injuries impact his performance? One of the most dynamic offensive players in the game, a wimmy effort could really lift the Cavs. If he slinks, the Cav's chances may slink with him.
SG - Iman Shumpert
Shump will play a key role in this series as he has been the Cav's weapon of choice on PGs at times. If he can find a way to limit Curry when asked to guard the MVP, he will have earned his money and then some.
SF - LeBron James
LeBron has dominated the Cavs play this offseason with Love gone and Kyrie hampered, can he keep it up vs the Woyas numerous strong 1on1 defenders (Green, Barnes, Iguodala) operating with a system that has held up again and again? LeBron dropped 42 in his only meeting with the Woyas this season, Cavs fans hope there's more where that came from. His uncharacteristic inefficiency these playoffs hasn't hurt him yet, but is the King on borrowed time?
PF - Tristan Thompson
Thompson has made himself some money this playoffs with a combination of Rodman-like offensive rebounding to go along with intelligent and versatile defense. Dray Green is a tough matchup for the young buck, but TT has advantages if he cares to exploit them.
C - Timofey Mozgov
Mozgov's performance in concert with LeBron and Kyrie will be key, Cavs fans hope he can establish himself offensively and limit Bogut's effectiveness as a help defender.
The Bench
JR Smith is a key player, can he swing the series himself? Can Delly avoid seriously injuring someone this round? Is Blatt seriously going to keep playing James Jones?
