Not sure. Teams try to play moar "physical" in the playoffs so that probably makes the refs' jobs harder, but my guess would be that it is pretty similar in the regular season but you don't hear the uproar cuz nobody cares about it and peeps are not living and dying w/ every game.

Tonights game was definitely a make up rigging

Eh, Celtics got the better side of the whistles, but they romped by an amount > the rigging. Miami definitely did not.

But then again, if they won Game 2, they probably would have played bad in Game 3, so 2-1 Miami is probably the right tally.

Yeah motivation is a super real factor in playoffs. Celtics were 2 point favs tonight. Win by 10, and they are a pick'em for game 4, lol.

But isn't this the way it typically works? Lakers were ~7 points dogs in OKC, then 1.5pt faves at home for game 3. Spurs/OKC line swung something like 10pts between games 2-3.


Good teams down 0-2 and going home have done pretty well in this years playoffs. Denver won round 1, Lakers round 2, OKC round 3, Boston round 3. Knicks were the only team (that wasn't swept) to lose game 3 at home, down 0-2. Mavs/Jazz also lost, but they weren't good teams, and both were broomed. (obv the Knicks weren't too good either, but they had some injury problems)

Den/LA both lost in game 4 and now Boston is a dog, so this is very common.


Too lazy to look it up now, but heading into game 3 last night, Celtics were something like +98 with KG on the court in this years playoffs, and -144 without him.
