Hansborough draws blood on Wade, and Wade lays on the ground for a second to sell the call AFTER the whistle. Reaction: zomg, Wade kills puppies.

Rando gets his head tapped and plays dead while the Heat are scoring the go ahead basket. Reaction: gotta at least be that Rando is a huge ***** along with his buddies Bitchface and KG, no?

I was thinking this exact thing earlier.

Any Heat fans agree with the unusually one-sided officiating?

Any Celtics / independents think the reffing was standard for a home team playoff game?

Kabe, but I rooted for him over the Cs. Cs combined unlikeability is just too much. I might start disliking Labron if he ever wins, but right now he is just a tragic figure so I can't hate.

I'm a big Heat fan and I agree that Boston got the short end of the stick tonight. I don't think the NBA is rigged but the Heat certainly didn't deserve the W tonight. They got bailed out a few times by bad calls - calls which would have altered the game completely imo.

I do think that games like today even out in the end tho.

It seems to me you only post three things

1. The Heat suck
2. The NBA is rigged
3. The NBA is rigged for the Heat

Re: NBA ECF: Heat vs Celtics

They just showed a slo mo replay of the Wade "offensive foul" on slow motion in Sportscenter, Garnett clearly had both hands extended on Wade trying to push him before Wade touched him. He was obviously trying to give the foul to prevent the layup.

Dozens of poasts complaining about an intentional foul, as the kids say these days, lol, shakin my head.

Re: NBA ECF: Heat vs Celtics

If someone states that their intention is to "make you hit the deck" and then moves in front of you after you have left the ground and tries to push you in mid-air, then you are allowed to jump off of them to complete the play and then stare their them down like the ***** they are.

Pretty sure that is a fair interpretation of the rules.

I've got no dog in this fight; it seemed to me the Heat, in general, did receive the benefit of the doubt more tonight. Several calls which have been discussed and my thoughts:

- Rondo no call: It looked like he was hit after the shot, so while it was a foul, not surprised he didn't get the call not being a superstar on the road. I don't think the contact effected the shot, so the no call doesn't bother me much.

- Wade driving into KG: Looked like KG had already committed a foul before Wade extended his leg. Wade had made comments about protecting himself after Boston's public comments about 'putting them on the deck'. I don't think it's a good idea to inform the league you're planning to get physical. Having said that it's a punk move to extend a leg into lower body like that.

- KG tech: I didn't like it, I think you should be allowed within reason some recourse to get a guy out of your face after the play has ended.

- Wade into Pierce: IMO the only really poor call. I don't like the superstar being rewarded for jumping into someone defending their space and Paul sure looked vertical on the play. It reminded me of what I was taught when I started reffing youth sports years ago, which was not to anticipate the call. Just call what you see. In some ways I think the city league reffing I play in would have called this play better, which IMO shouldn't have been a whistle either way.

If you root for a small market team like Portland long enough you'll realize you have to play much better than the home team to win on the road in the playoffs. Calls like this make you cynical enough to think the refs have decided to make a call before the play starts:

Crawford takes Camby out of the game

Strongly disagree, as a lifelong fan of a small-market team (Pacers). In fact, I felt as though the whistles in the Pacers-Heat series clearly favored my team throughout.

I'm also eagerly anticipating reading some more irrational Rondo hate from this board. Oh wait, he had 44/8/10 on 67%, guess it'll have to wait 48 hours.

seems to be the same handle as the one that tweeted that unless i'm reading poorly atm (very real possibility, still working on my first coffee), but that clutch gene tweet was deleted.

I'm a Heat fan and think that the officiating slightly favored the Heat but that's very normal for home games (source http://www.freakonomics.com/2011/12/...ntage-and-why/)

It definitely wasn't bad enough to say "BS; rigged; sickening; might consider boycotting NBA" though, that would be ridiculous.

Stopped reading here. SERIES RIGGED AINEC.

Gonna take a breather today and watch the spelling bee - GOAT sporting event. Too bad we know the winner is going to be a kid form a big market city. The 6 year old was already eliminated - confirmed rigged.

"“I was just stressed. It was a really, really long wait,” Lori Anne said. “Overall, it was just boring. Really boring! Really boring!”"

Proof of riggage: she was silenced because she was talking smack to some ex-champion, just like when JVG was speaking out against the lolrefs

"“When you won, the words were much easier,” Lori Anne said. “Someone won on ‘therapy.’ I mean, come on!”"
