I will. But the Celtics will actually get some calls for once so it should at the minimum be an entertaining game. Stern won't allow this to be sweep.

Listening to a NY radio station.

Caller just called in about the officiating in the Heat game!

lol he had no rooting interest in the game, but he was pissed at the refs.

Chances the Celtics win one or two games in the series?

I say 35% to win one (the next game)

and 5% to win two.

They hack LeBron every time he gets loose in the paint. First Boston complains they give up too many layups, now they complain LeBron shoots too many free throws cuz of Boston hard fouls?

LOL @ people making a big deal about that 50/50 call where Rondo went to the hole, and Wade kinda sorta touched his face a little. LeBron got hit harder than that 3 different times on the play that ended up being called a jump ball just before that. Every now and then, the officials legitimately screw up big time, and the officiating deserves to be the story, but tonight was not one of those nights. This was all about Wade and Bron coming up clutch down the stretch to overpower an incredible performance from Rondo.

Re: NBA ECF: Heat vs Celtics

This was the Cs mindset going into the game:

Rajon Rondo seethed, and said simply: "Nothing dirty, but they have to hit the deck too."

They were unhappy that they didn't commit enough fouls in game 1.

And woulda you know, the refs ended up calling alot moar fouls on the Cs in game 2, how could this possibly happen

You can't win 5 against 8. This game is one of the all-time jokes. I am so disgusted by this game and the league as a whole.

Either the refs are rigging or it's just not possible to call the game correctly which leads to massive shifts in advantage between two teams, but they have way too much control. They are basically a third team on the court actively shaping the way a game goes based on max 75% accuracy which is ridiculous in a sport.

I think reviews would just make a stop start game even more intolerably choppy and boring.

I want to support the Cs and not be fairweather but I want to punish the NBA too and not watch. I really don't like it.
So if they're shaping 25%, you guys can lead the way against corrupt reffing and remove a quarter of your titles since you didn't earn them fairly amirite

the nba is the only sport where i get frustrated enough by games even when i have no rooting interest that i just stop watching for series at a time. every facet of the league is just utter bull**** that after a while no amount of sick basketball can outweigh my disgust at how heavily the game is shifted by sheer incompetence.

whether or not it's rigged, meh, i mean it probably isn't, but i'm more willing to accept the nba is rigged than i am any other sport (in part because of the ****head commish, in part because games have already been rigged before), but really that isn't the point. there is such consistently gross incompetence and favoritism that it's actually a surprise when games are officiated fairly

I don't think it works that way

21 finals appearances and only 17 championships, clearly the refs have already taken their bite

Easy 50/50 call. 50% personal foul, 50% flagrant 1.

Re: NBA ECF: Heat vs Celtics

There seem to be three factions to me.

1) Heat fans
2) Celtics fans
3) Self identifying independents

1 almost universally says "no big deal; officiating wasn't biased; outcome wasn't influenced."

Both 2 and 3 almost universally say "BS; rigged; sickening; might consider boycotting NBA"

How about that?
