I didn't bring up the box score, someone else did.
I'm not going to argue calls with you in a game involving your team, there's no point, let's just say that I think there were plenty of calls missed the other way too.
There's no grand conspiracy to get Miami in the final, they're just better and playing at home.

Re: NBA ECF: Heat vs Celtics
Please someone tell me if my record is in error. In the final 9 minutes (4 in the 4th, 5 OT), Miami went to the line 18 times, versus only 2 times for Boston.

Did anyone else think Ray got fouled on that three he missed in the fourth quarter?

Refs say challenge accepted. Rigging it against the Spurs is gonna be tough though.

whether you want to believe that there's a legit conspiracy or refs are just a bunch of mongoloids who suffer from extreme superstar bias, the heat clearly received much more favorable calls tonight which extend beyond the standard home court advantage in the playoffs.
if you believe otherwise you're just trying too hard to play the contrarian card.

I'm pretty sure they weren't, but it would be harder to get away with if there were mandatory reviews for critical plays like that. And if they get it wrong after the review, we can be sure that they're cheating pieces of **** and Stern will be pressured to make a show of suspending them or something.

with something like a minute to play in a tied game (maybe miami was down by 2, can't remember), there's an obvious Rondo foul on Lebron that goes uncalled, not the type of stuff you let go when trying to rig a game. That's just the most obvious one that comes to mind.

Re: NBA ECF: Heat vs Celtics
None of you saying you're done watching are really done. And the refs can give the Heats all the calls they want and they still don't have a chance vs. the Spurs.

I'm not just saying this cuz my team is the C's, but I've hated the NBA for a while. I don't know if I actually believe rigging (beyond a couple of Donaghy's that are definitely out there) but it's just a flawed game. Either the refs are rigging or it's just not possible to call the game correctly which leads to massive shifts in advantage between two teams, but they have way too much control. They are basically a third team on the court actively shaping the way a game goes based on max 75% accuracy which is ridiculous in a sport.
I think reviews would just make a stop start game even more intolerably choppy and boring.
I want to support the Cs and not be fairweather but I want to punish the NBA too and not watch. I really don't like it.

Re: NBA ECF: Heat vs Celtics
rondo gets punched in the head = no call..
someone breathes on lebron = insta-call..
can't wait to watch the heat get their hopes crushed by the spurs
