With Ainge and Doc in charge I think C's got 2-3 more years of being real good. Rondo/Bradley/Pierce/Bass/KG is nice and they have a lol $34.5million on the books for next year. Maybe get Jeff Green back, maybe sign one of Dre/Nash/Kidd/Terry for bench but man big men free agents lookin like a slim market.

Also, lol @ the Heat end game. Terrible hero ball that killed them in G2 against Dallas.

Well Celtics, it was a great year. No one thought you'd make it this far. With losing Jeff Green to a heart condition before the season began, Chad Wilcox to a heart condition mid-season, Jermaine O'Neal mid-season, Avery Bradley in round 2 to shoulder injuries, with Ray playing on bone spurs and Pierce on a sprained MCL, no one, and I mean NO ONE would have predicted you'd take LeBron and the Heat to defend their home court in a Game 7 and take it all the way to the final minutes. I'm oddly at peace with that game.

Exactly how I feel.

We outran expectation every year except one, where we met it.

2008- won the whole thing
2009- pushed orlando (team that ended up winning the east) to 7 without garnett
2010- lost in nba finals
2011- meh
2012- ecf game 7

It was a long two months between the draft lottery and us getting Garnett in 2007, and it's been a fun five years since. I don't think I'll ever enjoy a sports team more than I did the Celtics in 2007-2008, but this whole run has been great.

i was def not as at ease in 2010 as I am now. 2010, despite getting way farther than we were ever supposed to, and despite Perk not being there, I felt we let the 'ship get away. Tonight, we just got outplayed clearly and we gave everything we could.

Though something has to be up with Pierce.

A good example of NOT feeling at peace: when labron totally owned the Pistons in 2007 in the Eastern conference finals. That Piston's team had no business losing that series to the Cavs. We were the better team hands down, and it also sucked watching the worst finals of all time (Spurs vs Cavs) knowing the Pistons would've at least forced the Spurs to 6 games.
