I don't get. I lived in Cali for 5 years and have a ton of Lakers fans friends who absolutely despise Lebron, the person and player, but love them some Kobe Bean. Every time I confront them on the issue they endlessly defend Kobe, and their only "dig" at LeBron is the decision. It's really quite laughable.

Sorry - not trying to turn it into a Kobe vs Bron, just using an example of irrational hatred of LeBron and couldn't think of a better example. Kobe is amazing player in his own right but, by all accounts, a pretty unsavory person yet catches very little flak from the media/fans compared to Lebron because he's won some rangs.

Overall I think people just love some schadenfreude, and no one has higher expectations than LeBron. So really it's quite easy to take shots at him when he doesn't live up to them.

*Shrug* Oh well, what can ya do...

Well Celtics, it was a great year. No one thought you'd make it this far. With losing Jeff Green to a heart condition before the season began, Chad Wilcox to a heart condition mid-season, Jermaine O'Neal mid-season, Avery Bradley in round 2 to shoulder injuries, with Ray playing on bone spurs and Pierce on a sprained MCL, no one, and I mean NO ONE would have predicted you'd take LeBron and the Heat to defend their home court in a Game 7 and take it all the way to the final minutes. Hold your head up, Celtic Nation, 'cause you still got heart.

I'm oddly at peace with that game.

For me it's the sense of entitlement and the narcissism. I get it considering he has been a media spectacle since he was 12 years old, but I still don't like him.

FWIW, I was an OG Lebron "hater." I didn't like him in Cleveland either, and the Decision and the ensuring douchebaggery just made things worse.

Congrats Heat fans, your boys stepped up. C's went cold at worst possible time. The 2012 Celts had a ton of heart, I will miss watching 'em.

Doc's presser, you could tell he was real upset about the end of the big3 era. he backed up some on a followup question, but you could tell he knows it won't be quite the same after this.

So do you hate Jordan and Kobe too? They were pretty entitled and narcissistic.

That's how I felt when Pistons lost game 7 to spurs in 2005. When your team maximizes it's easy to feel at peace no matter what the result.

Well yeah. Both teams had already won rings. Pistons 2004; Celtics 2008. Easy to feel "at peace" with terrible losses after already having ranged.

its quite simple with laker fans. they view lebron as the ultimate threat to kobe. i mean, kobe was supposed to be the best player in the league for his era, but he wasnt bc lebron showed up. so they fear and resent lebron.
