I can't believe C's fans are still trotting this out. Again, the C's won Game 4 by 2 in OT after super-human LeBron James was taken out of that game on 3 absolutely bogus calls with Boston having about a +4 edge on other whistles. You can't say "well, if they fixed the officiating the game that benefited Miami, but didn't fix it on the one that benefited us, we would have won". That's just sour grapes. The series is 3-3. With perfect officiating, it would still be 3-3. You should put your hopes into a miracle in Game 7, not trying to make up an "asterisk" for when the Heat beat you.

15 for 35 from the field isn't particularly bad, especially when seven of them are threes.

If there was perfect officiating, what would the score of the series be right now? If you have anything other than 3-3, please explain which games you think would have been won by which teams. If you do think it would be 3-3, then please explain how the officiating is relevant.


I don't keep an actual plus/minus, that would be too tilting, but I do have a general idea in my head of who benefited the most from the calls, and about how many calls that is.

I don't get why everyone says Lebron will finally silence his critics if he wins a championship. I think at this point, most of his "haters" dislike him for his douchey demeanor off the court rather than anything he does on it. No criticism of his game really holds that much water.

I'm sure winning a ring will give him immense personal satisfaction, and his fans and Heat fans will be happy, but his "haters," myself included, will go right on disliking him. I do think it would be really funny to see him get really close every year but continue to fail ala Karl Malone, though.

I think when people talk about LeBron silencing the critics, they're talking more about the media types who try to act like LeBron has some giant personality defect that keeps him from being able to win than they are the standard haters who don't like that LeBron's so much better than anyone on their team.

The media narrative is 'can't win the big one'. Which is lazy given the success he's had in previous playoff games, but it won't go away until he rings. It reminds me of the narrative of Payton Manning until he rang'd (minus the vitriol).

That was a pretty damn impressive performance tonight by Lebron.
