Yeah, because Pippen and Jordan were totally a two-man team. It's not like they had a modern-day Bill Russell playing with them throughout their whole second run.

pretty much, the decision sucked, Lebron is incredibly egocentric (which is surprising, no other superstar is), but still incredible to watch and easily the best player I've had a chance to follow for an entire career. And pretty likable, specially in his Cleveland years, fth

I think LeBron wants to be the Pippen to Wade's Jordan. It's like he's forgotten he's the best ****ing basketball player in the world or something.

I'm not a LeBron hater, my feelings are mixed. On the one hand, I agree with some stuff Simmons wrote in that column a while back-- LeBron has the total package as an athlete and could GOAT it up if he'd play up to his best when it mattered most. That he doesn't seem interested in doing that is hugely disappointing to anyone who is a fan of basketball the sport. At the same time, the Heat decision was handled so badly (no matter how you slice it, declaring yourself a dynasty before you've played a game together is terrible), and Wade's douchiness seems to have had such a corrosive effect on LeBron, and the whole Miami team seems to just be a bad situation for him, that I don't really want to see him reach his potential until he's somewhere else. (But I would rather see him leave than continue to rot in Miami. I don't want to see the world's best basketball player being a beta on his own team.)

if you grew up watching the heat in the 90s and early 2000s, you would be with this team to the bitter end.

squeaking by the knicks in 97 and feeling elated to face utter and absolute facerape from the bulls. getting soulcrushed as a 1 seed that looked like our only potential year to upseat the bulls. reconstructing after zos kidney and departure to new jersey. an absolutely incredible for-the-ages series against new orleans that i will never forget, thikning caron butler was my SAVIOR AND CHRIST. only to realize 2 years later that dwyane wade was my SAVIOR AND CHRIST.

i could really not give two ****s what players compose the team, after watching the heartbreak and grit that the heat had during that era (the same stuff celtics fans pride their team in) you just dont give up.

and i think if youd have gotten to watch the timmy/zo/masburn/leonard/thunder dan days from the perspective of a heat fan (just rife w/ heartbreak and insanely competitive fun games) you would not in any way be calling that group cowardly.

i was too young to watch ronny seikaly (but i have a seikaly jersey from the goodwill bc my mom couldnt afford a real heat jersey when i was little), but the heat are and will forever be my team. as young as this ballclub is, there is a ton of history, and denying that is just pathetic and a copout rife with envy and fear.

i think its significantly more cowardly to duck in every few days or weeks to go spew nonsensical hate. but i guess thats just me.

w/e man i love this team and all this bla bla bandwagon bla bla is just hilarious and self-defeating. like i said yest, its gonna feel all that sweeter when we come back and soulcrush the cs.

1 hr LETS GO

You seem like a good, happy, well-adjusted person that has a carefree attitude and a proper perspective on life. I would much rather be around you than the devil Labron or his devil worshippers.

it's not that you only get 3 qtrs from him, it's that you don't get a 4th q, so it won't matter.

Would be nice if psychology didnt exist. No matter what, in the fourth quarter, lebron will have skip bayless pop into his head, and he will lebrick. Would be nice if lebron was like benjamin button during games, and hed have a progression where his 4th quarter game was actually played in the first quarter and so on....
