I would say that look typically gets made ~5% of the time in the NBA. Like I remember when he let it go thinking "**** there's no way that shot's going in" because I was remembering a recent Mavs game where Dirk had pretty much the same look and missed the rim by 3 feet.

Yeah it used to be my go to spot for Boston sports games. Watched a bunch of 2010 playoff games there. Saw game 7 of the finals that year there, they shut off the TV as soon as time expired which I found to be very professional.

I insist on being in a kickass atmosphere for any potentially huge win. Being at home and posting on a message board won't do this justice, I need to go ****ing crazy and be surrounded by others doing likewise.

I watched the 2010 Duke bball ship at the Village Pourhouse (pro-Duke spot), and the ensuing 3 mins after the buzzer was prob better than being at the Garden for game 6 against the Lakers in 2008, and I care WAY more about the C's than Duke basketball. Ever since then it's been a hard + fast rule that all big games must be watched at a homer bar (unless I get tix, which is cool too).

look, here's the thing. I'm not even worried about tonight. Thinks might not go the Cs way, shots might not drop, labron might god mode so all the HeatFan can feel real proud and chest thump, but this Cs team man, they're gonna come out and they're gonna play some mother****ing basketball. That's it. They're going to play. They're going to play hard.

Even if the Heat win, and go on to win game 7, it's fine bro. Cuz us Cs fans, we know our team is a team, and they play hard and they play together and they give it all they got. HeatFan, no matter what, know that they can't rely on that. They'll never be greater than the sum of the parts. Even still they're talented enough to win, that's just how good those guys are. But they aren't experiencing a team. It's a hollywood **** display of basketball. The joy there is limited.

Even if Bron rings, it'll be bittersweet for him. He was on a team, once. No longer.

mf's will be very surprised to see what boston does vs okc if boston makes the finals. i think boston has a real chance against okc.

if you think about it, with garnett's resurgence, rondo's improvement and continuous movement towards hof status, bass and peitrus that i don't think they had last year the whole year - the celts have as much talent as any team.

i also think boston is the toughest team mentally in the entire playoffs. if boston makes it, i would argue they would be the toughest team they faced, even tougher than the spurs because garnett at this point is better offensively than duncan, and i just think if boston makes it, they will be so hungry and willing to go further to win than the spurs were.

the spurs had that deer in the headlights thing going on because okc surprised them. boston doesn't get surprised.

This is pretty much how I feel. For instance, if the Celtics traded for both labron and hgh I 'd live with the inevitable ships, but they'd always pale in comparison to the 08 c's or even the 10 and prob 12 runs.

eta- regardless of what happens, wouldn't trade this 5 year run for 5 consecutive ships from a super talented team that sucks as a team.

Ok, obviously it's a ridiculous shot and objectively he can't be "expecting" to make it, just hating on their slightly excessive celebration after squeeking out Game 2 in a series where they were a pretty massive fave.
