like i said it's fine if you disagree, don't really care to get in a longwinded back + forth. my read is that you have had a bit of a sandy vag toward the c's instead of trying to engage in an honest intellectual discussions. there are quite a few factors that went into this read, and you won't sway me by belaboring any individual points. if i haven't swayed you, any further discussion of the matter is very unlikely to be fruitful.
my read is that you don't like people talking **** about your team, which it's fine just don't accuse me of being nonobjective
I knew what this was before I clicked. It is 100% accurate in its depiction of what it felt like to hear the news.
When Boston got Allen for the fifth pick, I was "meh." That all changed the day Garnett was acquired. I was in the car with my wife when the acquisition was announced. My exact words were "they're gonna be so ****ing good!"
Regardless of what happens tonight or in the remainder of the playoffs, this core group of Allen, Rondo, Pierce, Garnett and Rivers has provided everything we could've asked for and more.

Dude is just a warrior.
Lots of rumors regarding Kobe attempting to sell Garnett on coming to the Lakers when his free agency arrives later this summer.
I think all Cs fans understand this is it. This is the Big Three project, year finale. It's been a great run:
-1 soul rape of our hated enemies where we were the greatest team since Jordan's 72 win Bulls
-1 title defense missing the real MVP of the league, where we showed extreme heart and grit and love, in the end somewhat exceeding our expectations
-1 finals loss to those same hated enemies where we *could* argue Perk in G7 would have been the difference (probably not) but regardless an incredible series that is one of the best finals in many years
-1 "final" run where our legacy ends at the hand of the NEW Big 3...
-Or does it end? Do we wrap up the 5 year plan with 1 title? It's certainly possible!
in our defense at least we didn't pretend to stop watching the nba and curse Stern for wanting OKC in the finals
True that, Game 2 Celts fan performance is near the top of the charts as well, but the sheer relentlessness that Spenda displayed was overwhelming.
The highlight for me was him going ape**** over the crazy/lucky Durant 3 after the Spurs spent the entire first half basically making everything and still had a 15 point lead.

I'm so nervous. I thought 2010 was our last run with this group, that it's actually happening 2 years later is like the most pleasant surprise ever. I'm never going to be emotionally ready to stop rooting for this core, the fact that they're back at it warms my heart to an endless extent. I don't even care what happens in the finals, if we can just win one more ****ing game against the Heat I will possibly die of happiness.
In case any C's fans live in NYC and care to attend, I'm going to be checking out the game at a Boston bar in the city. Likely Professor Thom's in the East Village.
Too bad the Villanueva comments were shown to be false. Regardless, why do you care? A grown man that talks **** while playing basketball? Who'd a thunk it? Every player talks **** they just choose to point it out when KG does it cause he's overt about it and doesn't give a ****.
loooool sick context.
ya, every player slaps another player in the testicles in the act of shooting. who woulda thunk it. i simply don't like him because i think he's a bit excessive, but the post wasn't even about that; i was saying despite how much of a yambag he is, and i indeed think he is a yambag, he still has more heart and WIM than, like, all of the league.
and telling charlie villanueva he looks like a cancer patient. he's a douche. with heart tho
lol at holding that against Garnett. 1) Charlie V does look like a cancer patient. 2) I bet that's just normal healthy trash talking between adult millionaire basketball players. 3) I can say as a Piston's fan that Charlie V has been a cancer to the team ever since he's been here. Somehow that's gotta count for something. And 4) I loled pretty hard when I first heard Garnett said that (if it's funny it can't be that bad).
I may be posting in this thread tonight...will I be the ONLY person besides mburke rooting for Miami? Have barely read anything until the last page (50 p/p pro setting obv).
nah there are 4 or 5 people who root for the heat, jzo, bank (who now has a okc avatar which makes me think he was a labron fan), marlinssmith, fallenhero, all come to mind. mostly labron fans tho besides that.
