Re: NBA ECF: Heat vs Celtics
Dno how celtics fans fan be all that happy abt their chances after they won w/: a) rig job b) no bron in ot, and less bron in 4th w bc of previous awful calls c) no bosh, d) at home and e) it was a 2 pt win in OT f) wade had a straight awful game for 2 quarters.
I'm pretty comfortable going back to Miami all that said. Sucks they have to play 6 but that's rly all that it means.

doesn't matter, celtics have one great performance tomorrow and then they have a shot to close it out game 6. we're in a position to win the series with a little run good.
teams have been playing rather evenly thus far iyam, i wouldn't be teeming with confidence as a heat fan.

Re: NBA ECF: Heat vs Celtics
Lol at the clowns who are blaming labron for these losses. Dudes averaging 30/9/5 on 50+ fg% and hit a game tying 3 to send it to ot. yeah, he's been turning it over too much and over- Passing in general IMO but its not his fault the rest of the team other than chalmers and haslem have been awful. if wade and battier can just Play slightly better this series is over in 6. obv that's a big if tho

I'm pretty sure they feel no worse than Heat fans felt after LeBron shot 24 free throws in game two.

Re: NBA ECF: Heat vs Celtics
I think overall the refs favored Boston in the standard amount for a home playoff team.
Against all odds I think Iggy does have a point about LeBron- i.e. not all bad calls are created equally and fouling out LeBron has a hugely negative impact on the Heat's win equity. That said, it's not the most impactful thing that a ref can do, for instance calling a bad foul in a tied or 1 point game on the final possession is going to affect equity more. I don't think that LeBron's 6th foul was very different from KG's foul on the C's last possession of regulation, except for the fact that the latter call was more detrimental to the Celtics than the former was to the Heat.
Basically, there is a case to be made for ref WPA except for
1) It wasn't nearly as significant as Iggy was making it out to be
2) A ref can have like a .99 WPA with a single bad call, this does not make a game a riggage.
FWIW the 5th foul on LeBron was legit turrible, but it was made worse by Assani benching him for a minute thereafter. But Doc would have never done that, so you can't blame the fact that LeBron momentarily hit the bench entirely on the refs. Coaching matters, too.

not having a sub 30% shooter take one shot when they got the ball with 21 seconds left?
How can you be so OBTUSE.

just think, you could have just gone on not caring about basketball after the decision and you wouldn't have to perform such mental gymnastics. You could just be chillin'. poor choice.

Re: NBA ECF: Heat vs Celtics
Just stopping in to troll nba fanatics who routinely troll ncaa's reffing.
Also was Magic serious on the postgame show when he said Wade should've jumped into the defender instead of taking a wide open shot? 90% chance he says "you can't expect to get that call at the end of a game on the road" if he tried to draw a foul.

Just watched it again (Lebron's sixth). Looked like a clear foul when I was watching on TV, now it seems like ~80% against Pietrus/20 against Lebron. At any rate, he was definitely due for a few bad calls going against him anyway, especially after G2. Would have preferred more blatantly rigged, like he's on his way to the basket and gets punched in the face and no call (like what pretty much happened to Rondo), but this makes things almost even in terms of officiating.
When I watched it the first time, I thought they were already on their way down when Pietrus put his arm around him to secure himself or something, now it looks like he clearly had his hand hooked around Lebron's torso.

thats why you are wrong about everything you say regarding lebron and the heat.

The BOSHTRICH
Biggest worry for Celts fans has to be that WAIDS will get less shots.

Re: NBA ECF: Heat vs Celtics
hey ray is running ok and actually trying to d up waids. waids really playing a lot of minutes and asked to do a lot down the stretch and in OT. we might see another waids, and bosh might help, but who knows. that is the X factor. pp, like ray, seems to be most comfortable out there with what he can give with his injury.
anatta not confident really he is a realist, but just a little proud of the guys right now going from 15-17 to 2 wins away from another finals trip.
