I'm sure winning a ring will give him immense personal satisfaction, and his fans and Heat fans will be happy, but his "haters," myself included, will go right on disliking him. I do think it would be really funny to see him get really close every year but continue to fail ala Karl Malone, though.
I agree that the haters will not care and keep going on hating. However, the critics is who we're talking about here, which is different. There are many (myself included) that believe that Lebron just doesn't have that clutch gift that many of the greats before him have had. He tends to choke in clutch situations (not entire games but the last seconds of games). If he's able to make a few really big shots in key, final play, situations, in a final, I think that will silence most of the critics.
