This is a smart guy that gets it, but we all already knew that:

Haralabos Voulgaris ‏@haralabob
Reading the twitter comments on LeBron and how he never gets called for a foul. Why is this shocking? Amazing athlete and very good defender

Haralabos Voulgaris ‏@haralabob
LeBron doesn't get called for fouls bc he doesn't foul. Freakish athlete with impeccable timing and body control who never bites on fakes.

Haralabos Voulgaris ‏@haralabob
As for the officiating being biased. Step 1 in getting a fair whistle is def not stating that you have to put the other team on the ground

@haralabob also, it's obviously an objective of his -- he almost never gets off his feet on a pump fake. Would rather contest than block.

Hmm... I could have sworn I saw him guarding (and consistently getting away wth fouling) David West in at least a couple of games there.

And by the way, I thought Lebron got fouled on that jump ball too, even while it was happening. But that doesn't come even remotely close to offsetting even 1/10 of the garbage calls that went against the Cs, and nor was it really on a critical possession (being results oriented, they got the ball back anyway).

Everytime KG sets a screen it scares me it will be called a foul, but he is far from the only player that does what he does.

Loel Anthony and Haslem (can add Turiaf as well) all set obviously illegal screens. I mean KG is the all-time godfather at this, but pointing out his flaws, without mentioning the 3 heat players above is pretty lol.

And PP never fouls out on that Wade play, if they don't call 2 bogus bump fouls on him. 1 where he and lebron were just edging for position, and another where they called pierce for a bump just bc his positioning was awkward. He never did anything illegal to warrant the whistle on the latter play, yet lbj got his 2 fts.

I only saw the jumpball once, so I could be wrong here, but it looked like it was tossed over bron's left shoulder, and rondo never had a chance to get it, so he nudged him.

Just came across this gem, Game 2 of the 2008 NBA Finals:

"Leon Powe, a second year bench player, scored 21 points on 6–7 shooting from the field and 9-13 from the line in 15 minutes of play... Over the course of the game, Leon Powe shot 13 free throws while the Lakers shot 10."

The nerve on Cs homerz. How do we know its rigged, because before this its always been rigged for us!

I wouldn't cite evidence of rigging as evidence there is no rigging.

The celtics won't be good without pierce/Garnett, the big 3 masks all of rondos flaws and highlights all of his strength. No player in the nba is in a more perfect situation or has been for 4 years or w/e.

he played an amazing game but do you really believe that changes those above statements? He boxed some open jumpers, is he all of a sudden a good shooter? He will be much less effective with teammates who don't know the system/gel like this current team. Teammates who aren't as effective as pierce/Garnett are and Jesus was. I mean he's a 6'1 pg and teams would prefer he shot open 3s/jumpers than pierce/Garnett creating for themselves. That says two things about rondo

1) exceptional passer
2) terrible shooter

His passing becomes much less valuable with worse teammates, this is why players who can create for themselves at a good rate are and will usually be more valuable.

Not a top 5 pg IMO. Paul/Rose/Williams/Parker/Westbrook are all certainly better, cud prob make a case for some others too. Would obv rather have Kyrie going forward.

no amount of astroturfing from nba employees like tien/pawn master is going to convince anyone that what they saw was anything but a direct edict from stern

So, after the Spurs win, everyone will still say the league is rigged for Miami. Got it.

Adding Rondo allows teams to get effective scoring threats at reduced cost, which will be an issue going forward. If a GM can get Rondo and save $5M over the perceived top PGs, there is obvious value there.

Spurs too good to rig against, Manu would just swish 3s from half court every possession and stare down Stern.

leon powe, my man. such a shame Doc favored FFD over him before he became a good coach. *sigh*.

And yeah, Powe earned those FTs. Outworked Pau. I'm pretty sure he lead bench players in FTs/game, or FTs/minute or something like that. He's always gotten to the line, so no shocker he got there a ton when he played more minutes and Pau was goin' soft. Lakers prob got gypped a few FTs. Didn't really matter, though. Game only got close cuz Cs got lazy. And cuz Pau took 4 steps on a breakaway layup. clear as day. And the series was never gonna be close. Cs romped.

I didn't search, Cs fans were crying in the comments of an ESPN article (as well as practically the entire internet), and that game was mentioned. Think total FTs that game was 38 to 10.
