i'm all about emotional hedging (betting against your team in a big game...**** the money if they win, small consolation if they don't), but tonight i got some cavs +2.

dunno what that means. probably double whammy in the morning (triple with the hangover teaching 1st period) seeing how this is cleveland sports.

This is one of the most anticipated games in a really long time. Looking forward to see if Lebron lays another egg 3-14 type performance or if he goes off for a 40+ point triple-double.

I don't really get the emotional hedging concept at all. Isn't the whole reason that we irrationally invest ourselves emotionally in sports teams because we LIKE the swings? Seems like making them bigger is more of a goal then making them smaller. I never ever bet against any of my teams, but I bet on them quite frequently.

large emotional swings are a result getting invested in the first place. people hate swings so they hedge

8:10 if you want to get technical. Pinnacle's going to have more accurate numbers than the media since they want to get as much action as possible. Also, I like the Cavs tonight betting-wise, just for the mere fact that all the pundits/general fans have already left them for dead and anointed the Celtics the winner of the series. The books are hanging that line knowing full well that the average bettor is going to be all over the Celtics. Also, if you're getting dealt +2 at a square book, that's an even better sign since the sharp books still have it at 1.5.

Game 6 of the Orlando/Cleveland series last year was pretty huge too. That was the last time there was an NBA game this big though.
