I live in western Mass.

Ainge thought Robinson would bring instant energy offense off the bench.

Ainge was, in this case, wrong.

I don't remember for sure so correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he only in the rotation because Tony Allen was injured at the time, and the fact that TA is now healthy prevents him from really coming back from his prior?
Boston brought Daniels in to be a rotation player - and to usurp TAllen's minutes.

TAllen's gathering of increased minutes occurred near the end of the regular season when Rivers realized that Daniels wasn't playing well and that Robinson provided little to no on the floor utility.

The difference between Durant and Pierce is so massive that I truly don't see how anyone can claim that putting Paul in Rondo's place would impact the team more than inserting Durant and removing Pierce.

who said this wasn't true? of course switching durant for pierce would have a bigger impact. that has nothing to do w/the discussion

Sure it does - it was my point.

I never said Rondo was better than any of the other PGs.

I said that Boston would improve more by making changes elsewhere on the floor.

Mike Brown "LeBron had an off night"... very nice.. I just don't accept this as a Cavs fan.

In game six I want LeBron shooting thirty times if that's what it takes to get him going...

And I'm done talking about LeBron. By now everyone will assume I'm excessively trolling and that's not my intent. I just want him to play better. I have 96 King James Bobbleheads on the way and I need to sell those suckers!!!

seems out of left field though in the context of the discussion.

A: paul would put them over the top
B: no he's not that much better than rondo
C: i'd rather swap durant for pierce
A: cool story bro?

How is the hypothetical of wanting Durant any more "cool story" than the hypothetical of wanting Paul?

C'mon, if you swap Durant for Pierce the Celtics would be unbeatable.

The Celtics would also be shooting 30 ft's a game but that's a seperate issue...

He just got 38/8/7 on 14-22 shooting ON THE ROAD. What don't people understand about this sentence?

That's an ugly timex 'Bron is wearing.

On a more serious note. How much better would the Cavs be if they had more time with Jamison before the playoffs started?

Question, if all that it takes for his team to get beat by 30 at home is for LBJ to not play well, doesn't that say bad things about the rest of the team?

Quote:
In a rematch of the thrilling 2006 second-round series, the Pistons and the Cavaliers (2007) matched up in perhaps one of the most closely contested series in NBA history, with the first five games being decided by six points or less. The spotlight of the series fell on Cleveland's LeBron James. Despite gaining some momentum in the opening games of the series against the experienced Pistons, key last-second decisions by James led to Cleveland losses in Games 1 and 2 in Detroit, by identical scores, in which Cleveland led for most of the two games. They faced a 0–2 deficit for the second straight year but would easily remember from the year before that they could win three straight games to get back into the series.

With media circles on his back for his complacency in these games (James had a playoff career low 10 points in Game 1), James came back to will the Cavs to close victories in Games 3 and 4 in Cleveland, evening the series at 2. The series shifted back to Detroit for a Game 5 that proved to be one of the most memorable postseason games in recent NBA history. In a match that went into double overtime, the Cavaliers stunned the Pistons on their home court, thanks to LeBron James' playoff career-high 48-point performance. James scored the Cavaliers' final 25 points of the game, including all 18 points in overtime, forced the second OT with a driving dunk and made a driving layup with 2 seconds left in the second OT to silence the Palace crowd. A game tying buzzer beater by Chauncey Billups rattled out making it two straight 2-point wins at the Palace in Game 5.

The heavily-favored Cavaliers took advantage of their home court in 2007 and exploded in Game 6 to close out the Pistons once and for all, and to clinch the franchise's first trip to the NBA Finals. Rookie Daniel Gibson scored his career high 31 points, including five three-pointers, to lift the Cavs in the second half behind a roaring home crowd
