Re: NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs: Cavaliers vs Celtics

Watching some of the calls/non-calls that benefit Lebron is frustrating. The refs were TRYING to keep the Cavs in the game today. One call specifically that makes it a dead give away was the travel call (correct) that got overturned by a ref who had a far worse angle on the play and called a foul (incorrect).

Never, ever, ever, ever have I seen a call reversed in NBA as it was in that play.

Compare that to the youtube video of Steve Nash getting fouled by Marcus Camby who was 10 feet away from him, why was this call (an obvious error) not overturned by anyone?

If you can tell me with a straight face that there isn't something terribly wrong with NBA officiating you probably work for Espn, Tnt, or David Stern.

oh stfu and gtfo. you are a biased celtic entitled clown. you are used to getting every call bc you root for a chosen franchise.

lebron was fouled on that play.

jamison was hit hard in the lower back by garnett.

jamison was clearly hit on the arm on a hook.

garnett hit shack on a the hsoulder on a layup

Re: NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs: Cavaliers vs Celtics

lebron traveled bc some thug hit him.

there was like 4 drives in the early and mid fourth with lots of contact that werent called.

yawn is exactly right. its so unreal amazing to me that idiot celtic fans could allege that there is some sort of conspiracy in favor of the cavs.

like, why would the nba go out of its way to lose billions of dollars?

Even if he was and he wasn't, the ref of the baseline got his call overturned by a ref at least 10 feet away, this doesn't happen, ever.

*Victor, ever hear of Enron, or EVERY BANK IN AMERICA? Billionaires risk it all to become even more Billionairish. There is almost no consistency in the way NBA games are officiated.

Yep, you got me I don't watch the NBA. That's why I'm unaware of how common it is for one official to overrule another.

And yes of course Kobe has benefitted from favorable treatment throughout most of his career but it feels like it's been significantly reduced since the alleged rape in Denver.
Back it up with some kind of stat.

Victor: There was some really bad calls in the game today. Garnett DID bang Shaq on the lay up, and that came right after Mo had raked Perkins arm on his dunk attempt. I didn't think Jamison hit him, but if you watch the replay, you'll clearly see Perks left arm get hacked by Mo.

Also, it looked like LBJ traveled before he got to the rim (on the aforementioned "foul"), and then once he's under the rim he travels again. The first one might of been close so I'm not 100% on it, but the second was clear. A ref standing within 5-7 feet called it, then another standing about 15-18 ft away, changed it. No matter who you root for, it's kind of absurd.

The play where they called FFD for a shove on Shaq (I think it was Shaq?) was a terrible call. When they showed the replay from under the basket, it was so obvious he wasn't fouled.

The play where Jamison travels, around the FT Line, the whole crowd seen it, screamed, roared, and the refs didn't blow it dead. The refs blow a lot of traveling calls, but this one was pretty clear. And don't get me started on the "Crab walk" which has become a legal move for LBJ.

I'm certain the refs could have problems making correct calls when PP is involved since he is a known flopper, so I wouldn't complain or mention it if they blow them calls.

I respect that you're sticking up for your team an all, but this was one of the worst officiated playoff games in recent years, too me. I don't have a horse in this race, and it didn't mean much too me if either won, but as an avid NBA fan, it was tough to watch. All the bad calls, non calls, miss calls, even some for Cleveland, they were just bad.

Stern is chiseling into everyone's wallet who even dares to criticize the officiating nowadays, because even he knows the quality is very low. It's a tough job indeed, but for these refs to be this bad...Maybe put another official on the god damn floor, do something in an effort to correct it.

LA has nothing to do with Bos/Cle. There's no rival between the two teams, and especially not between Kobe/LBJ, though the media portrays it as if there is one.

what rival? They play twice a year, all that other BS you see on TV is made up crap to pedal the NBA game to more fans.

And no, I'm a laker fan as well as a Kobe fan.

LBJ is the best player in the league and is in his prime, Kobe is on his way out in a few years. This I know, nothing to talk about. And this isn't a Kobe/LBJ topic, it's about the bad reffing, and ofc a Clev. HOMER isn't going to say it was bad, he'll say it was called fair. duhh

Whoa, don't include me with the other guys that were screaming conspiracy. I said THIS game, not every game of the series. (Although the 2nd/3rd qtrs of game 2 were kind of bad too)

I too, don't think they would sacrifice what they have going to get their mega-star his first Ship.

Funny how you got in defense mode tho lol

Meh. They also want a Kobe/Lebron finals, don't know if Lebron is actually leaving, and would likely maximize profit by having Cleveland lose to LA in the finals, not lose in the 2nd round.

Re: NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs: Cavaliers vs Celtics

i am in defense mode bc i have seen what lebron hs put up with for years. you have too, with shaq. lebron reminds me of shaq with the treatment from the refs. ive said that like 100 times now.

so when i see ppl whine about him gettin too many calls or whatever its just insulting. he is the most no called player in the league.

and lol at the argument of him not fouling out enough. umm, mebbe, just mebbe, one of the best athletes, smartest players, who doesnt guard the other teams no1, wont get fouls. its just amazing that ppl can lack any sort of logical occam ability and think that him not fouling out is a conspiracy.

no its not. he guards the last option until the 4th qtr. and hes the smartest most athletic player in the league.

no one bitches about similar foul rates from tayshaun or iggy, who guard the best players.

Don't tell me you actually believe this? This isn't ENRON (like some idiot suggested) they don't get a federal loan if their product goes to ****, or goes belly up. It's just over. No way they would risk it.
