Lebron is all about $$$, obviously someone paid him off to tank and bet huge on the Celtics last night. Donaghy hooked him up with some connections.

lol @ everyone counting the celtics out before the playoffs started. i love how the cavaliers bandwagoneers feel right now.

dont look like there will be a cavs vs lakers finals.

i love it. how the hell do you count a proven playoff team like the celtics out vs lebron and the bums is beyond me.

Media is going to make this all about Lebron, but Celtics pretty much played a perfect game. They aren't a great rebounding team, and they tend to turn the ball over, but they handedly beat the Cavs in both those areas, and shot the ball lights out.

How much did you bet on the Celtics this series? From following the NBA thread, very few people picked a Lakers-Cavs finals.

The moment? Listen, I'm a real fan, been a fan of cleveland all my life, gave up on the Indians after they choked game 7 with 2 outs. They went downhill into the pits and maybe came back against boston but lost that series even though they were up 3-1.

Browns? Loved them back in the kosar years, but they choked.

Now it's the basketball turn, The "Savior" had 7 years to get his crap together and bring a ring for this city in peril. This WAS the chosen year, this was titled his championship year. All I see now is 2nd round exit.

So I have given up on pretty much all cleveland sports teams throughout my life, because they really have not given the fans anything to cheer about, except maybe best home season record. Whoppee doo da day. What a great accomplishment! Sorry, my relationship for the cavs ends tonight. You don't go down for the count in a 32 point differential loss in a "pivotal" game. This team has absolutely no choice, and "The chosen one" lebron seems to have already made up his mind. 3-14? Toss in the towel guys, this one is over with.

I'm switching to some other team, maybe Orlando. At least they have their game together, not this mess of a team we call the cavaliers. Oh...and this is me not hitting the door on the way out. Love this town, but the sports franchises are in the pits. Later bron, take this coach with you and choke elsewhere, and give us a team that at least shows a disappointment during the regular season instead of giving their all and totally not showing up in the end. Way to go.
lil to soon to give up I dont think lebrick james will get the cavs two more vicories but they still have a shot at winning the series. how could you give up if your a "real fan"

celts are clearly much better than everyone thought they were too, it shouldn't be too surprising given they took orlando to 7 without garnett last yr before they beat the cavs in 6

The numbers Rondo is putting up is sick!

Keep puttin' up those Chamberlain/Robertson numbers up homie!

But yeah Cavs need to stop him to win this series, time for Mo Williams to step it up already!

give a lot of credit to the celtics who have guarded lebron (pierce/tony allen) as well as our help defense from our bigs (kg/perk)
it's true that he has been well defended but he like 4 or 5 straight possessions near the end of the second quarter where he attacked the basket and he was fouled every time, clear obvious fouls, not bail outs. The Celtics could not stop him during that period, and then he went back to shooting jumpshots and I don't think you can credit that to the Celtics D

just cause he got 4-5 straight possessions where he got to the rim at will doesn't mean he can do that all the time against the celtics, the celtics defend the pick and roll incredibly well and also will use traps/double teams to take the ball out of lebrons hands

i agree he did settle for too many jump shots but he still can't get to the rim whenever he wants against the celtics defense

agreed, but to stop him from getting into the paint the Celtics need to bring help defenders, that's the whole reason why the Cavs should be much better now than in years past, they have players good enough to use the space Lebron creates, he just didn't do it this game

I'm a Cavs fan. Grew up in Cleveland and such. Let's be real here. Celtics just are outplaying Cavs and it's not even close. Celtics shot 55% from two pt range and 53% from 3 pt range last night. Cavs were 41% and 33% respectively. Celtics defense is shutting down the Cavs especially closing the lanes preventing Lebron from getting to the basket. Lebron doesn't have the variety of shots that Kobe has and Lebron isn't that consistent in his perimeter shooting in fact he struggles with it. In short Lebron needs a better supporting cast. Mo Williams has been destroyed by Rondo. Give Celts their due in this series.

Honestly, I pretty much thought this as well, and I've been completely surprised by how well the C's have played especially with PP doing very very little.

Also, just looking at LBJ's jump shot from last night, the elbow was clearly at least a little stiff as he wasn't *quite* finishing his release at full extension, and unsurprisingly his shot was short/flat all night.

Not for a moment. I'd probably take the over on pretty much whatever line Vegas posted for LBJ points in Game 6.
