lebron james commits only 1.4 personal fouls per 36 this past year LOL

but yea lebron doesn't benefit from the refs at all
this almost as bad as "zomg, my team shot X less FT's than the opponent, rigged"

I think I've heard Wilt never fouled out. Also, MJ hardly ever fouled out.

epi, have you looked at tayshaun prince and andre iguodala foul rates? and they are guarding much better players.

in short, lebrons foul rates are far above average, but not necessarily an outlier, and, when considering mitigating factors, even less of an issue.

Sure. Double LeBron's PF/36 and you have MJ's PF/36 at age 25.

How many times did MJ foul out in his career?

MJ was a coddled superstar too, so I'm not sure your point

Meh the point was there is no point. He gets treated like every other superstar.

Victor is the only Cavs fan who argues it. I guess I can see the "Shaq" treatment where he always gets bodied/fouled and not enough calls, and I can see the defensive side where he doesn't get enough calls. It prob evens out.

But regardless its still a non-story

So the point is that LeBron doesn't get preferential treatment because he compares favorable with (actually better than) the most notable receiver of preferential treatment in the history of the game?

if you think lebron gets favored treatment you either dont watch the cavs or are a biased hater. and ive been maintaining this for like 5 yrs.

Is this in regard to drawing fouls or getting called for fouls?

We should make this clear so you can argue both sides of both sides effectively.

While I agree with most of what you're saying I'm not sure it's a "non-story". To guys like us that are fans of teams with superstars it may seem like a non-story but to fans of teams that don't have players getting such favorable treatment it's definitely an issue. Matter of perspective imo.

Anybody that doesn't think LeBron gets at least some favorable treatment just doesn't have a bone of objectivity in their body.

And yes of course Kobe has benefitted from favorable treatment throughout most of his career but it feels like it's been significantly reduced since the alleged rape in Denver.

Maybe LeBron doesn't foul much?

Regardless, lol NBA. I watch cause there is no football, but this is a league with a serious officiating credibility problem.

Officiating credibility problem in the NBA? No way bro. Ask David Stern he'll tell you.

Was always fun to watch MJ after picked up a T in a game, because you knew there was less than a 0% chance of him getting the 2nd one. He'd walk all over refs, opponents, everyone. Get in people's faces, never shut up, berate whoever, do whatever he wanted. Ah, the good ol' days...

i mean, nba refs make mistakes and may even be incompetent or whatever.

but they are no where near as bad as nfl refs. see the steelers colts game for complete rigging too. the ref actually made the call, then he got buzzed and switched it.

lol at preferring the nfl due to reffing. looooolllllllloooooooollllllllllll

nah, nfl reffing is terrible too ldo

its just a way better product

i dont think the nfl is rigged btw, the refs just suck cause its not their full time job (which is loltastic in a multibillion $ business)

Additionally, he was on the hardwood for an average of 48.5 minutes, playing 3,882 of his team's 3,890 minutes.[40] Because Chamberlain played in overtime games, he averaged more minutes per game than the 48 minutes in regulation; in fact, Chamberlain would have hit the 3,890 minute mark if he had not been ejected in one game after picking up his second technical foul with 8 minutes left to play.[43]
that said, it was techs, not PFs that did him in.

lol. this is what i think:
-stars get favorable treatment
-lbj is a star
-therefore, lbj gets favorable treatment.

that said, OF THE STARS, lbj probably gets less favorable treatment then others. but, that's still more treatment then an average player.
