Been reading some mock drafts and decided to start the draft thread since NBA season is officially underway and college basketball starts in a couple of weeks.

Scouts are saying this is one of the more loaded drafts in a while. Here are some names to know.




1. CHET Holmgren - C – Gonzaga – HT: 7-0 – WT: 195 – WING: 7-6 – Fr

Generational talent. Greatest player of all time potential. A taller, longer, more athletic Kevin Durant at the same age. Essentially a guard on offense and his defensive comp is Anthony Davis. Definitely the best defensive prospect in years.






2. Paolo Banchero - PF – Duke – HT: 6-10 – WT: 250 – WING: 6-10 – Fr





3. Jaden Hardy - SG – G League Ignite – HT: 6-5 – WT: 185 – WING: 6-10 – Fr

If I have the #1 pick I’m taking Paulo Banchero.

Chet is too skinny to play inside in the NBA and I doubt he adds much to his frame for at least 3 years which could stunt his development in the Association. Paulo is something SPECIAL and looks like he’ll be able to beast from DAY ONE!

CHET is a wing. Look at the way he handles and shoots the ball. He won't be playing inside. He will be out on the perimeter terrorizing opposing wings on d, taking rebounds coast to coast for easy buckets, and splashing open 3s.

I've heard of Chet before. Will Dean have him as the best prospect since Lebron with 10% goat equity or the 7th rated player in the draft?

I think he has to stay 2 years at Memphis.

It’s hard to see Jabari Smith Jr. failing in the NBA. He has legit #1 pick equity imo. Like the other bigs, he has what is nearly an unblockable shot in college, and he’s going to make a ton of them under Pearl even if they play a bit slower this year. His high usage—with Flanagan out to start the year and guards that are primarily defensive guys—will offer plenty of opportunity for criticism of his game, though.

Really shaping up to be 2 amazing drafts in a row with this year’s and 2022.

Bates has to wait until 2023 draft.

Followed this kid for a while since Purdue really recruited him hard, he has legit lottery equity. Extremely skilled, very long, and moves very well. His game reminds me a lot of Tyler Herro.
