Pacers trade 31+Aaron Holiday for something called an "Isaiah Jackson". I'm told he's a Center, which means one of Turner or Domas almost has to be gone with Goga also on the roster.

Cam Thomas is going to be a menace off the bench for BKN.

He's possibly the worst player drafted.

Nah no way. SGA is going to be due a max contract so basically its 6+SGA for max contract worth of capsapce+Cade. If it was pick 3+SGA I could see but big diff between pick 3 and pick 6.

The pistons timeline is far away were better off hoping Cade hits the peak turn out and saving the money for future moves. No point in rushing the timeline when you have nothing like we do. I'd rather be in position to stack up a couple more high lotto picks and try to land another star.

Also Shai was awesome for like 35 games last season he shot really high % but then so was Jerami Grant for half the season. He easily could of cooled down the 2nd half of the season just like GRant. Not saying Shai isnt a good player but he could easily be the type of guy a treadmill team maxes and regrets later on.

Another thing is he had a foot injury which yeah he should recover from but sometimes injuries like that pop up then a player continues to have him. OKC was completely fine trading him to us and they know more about him then anyone.

His Cade hate got him on Chad Fords pod which leads to more views. Spews for views he cant lose regardless of what happens.

Dean does good work. His entire thing is to go against the grain any chance he can get it. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. Hes a good read for a diff perspective.

I like the Rockets (Sengun, Garuba) and the Warriors drafts. Kings ok too, because drafting random enormous bigs is a good call. Seems like too many GMs listening to their girlfriends. Size does matter!

In Dean's defense, a lot of guys are super high on Mobley. Take with a grain of salt because it was probably leaked from the Cavs but Woj was saying NBA people think he would go #1 in most years.

So Mobley>Cade is just a moderately hot take, Suggs>Cade is where Dean really stuck out his neck.

Lots of people hating on the Knicks draft and I don't really get it. If they did absolutely nothing and ended up with Grimes and McBride I'd be like hell yeah let's go. Instead they did that ++++

This is pretty spot on. Really enjoy his work. If you are going to give him credit for some of his hot takes that hit, such as calling Wiggins an awful #1 pick, then you have to recognize ones that look really awful, like stating Zhaire Smith>Trae Young.

I agree with the principle, but it still seems that a 1000 virgins must have been sacrificed in dark rituals to compose the black magick that enables Trae not to leak more on D than he is a +ve on O. So missing on that doesn't seem so bad.

Mobley over Cade is fine. Nobody in the NBA would take Suggs over Cade but sure go for it. Cade 6 Green 8 though? Thats spews for views.

I mean if he didnt make those flaming hot takes nearly every year I wouldnt even bother reading his work. I'd just stick to the ringer, theathletic, Givony, and draft pods.So well played by him you gotta stand out as theirs some real good draft media. I mean did you see Sam Vs draft guide on the athletic? Sam Vs draft guide is really good and detailed thats the competition these days.

I think his takes are genuine. I do enjoy his content and am a fan of his. I do think its fair to point out his wrong takes with the right ones as well.

He makes a great point with Cade being a terrible rebounder, having way too many turnovers, and not enough assists for a primary ball handler. How many poor passing, poor rebounding stars are there in the NBA? Klay Thompson comes to mind, but I doubt Cade will be the shooter Klay is, and Cade's defensive ceiling is probably Klay.


His Barnes comparison was cool where Barnes is basically a little better to much better at everything basketball related except for outside shooting where Cade is really good and Barnes is really bad.

All this has been beat to death by the draft media a ton and its a non factor in everyones eyes but Dean. His assist/TO numbers are bad because his teammates are awful. If you check his assist numbers from fibau19 and highschool their way better. He played with a bunch of non shooters and had no spacing. As far as "rebounding numbers" that could be scheme the fact Cade routinely had multiple guys on him its just not relevant.

Cade was depended on to be the main scorer on Okstate and he led them to a pretty good season. Before Okstate his role wasnt to be the main scorer and he did that well. Guys like Simmons and Fultz played with equally as crap teams and they couldnt even make the tourney.

Every player had teammates that missed shots, it's college. Even if he had a full assist more then he still wouldn't have had a good assist/turnover rationfor a primary ballhandler. His teammates shot 2.5% better with him off the floor than on it.


He also showed a complete inability to rebound.
