He probably will not even be worse than the 16th best overall defender in the entire league from the moment he plays his first NBA minute

The players at 8-16 are all pretty close for me. I believe Jackson is going to be a very good rotational player, but not worthy of being drafted in the top 7. I want guys with all-star upside if I'm drafting them top 5-7.

Miles Bridges is getting underrated by everybody in this thread as well & could be one of the better players in this draft, i think both Bridges can tbh.

p.s Wendel Carter is nothing like OKafor, Okafor can't shoot & Wendell is honestly the most skilled big in this draft & easily the safest pick amongst the bigs.
I agree that Carter is a better shooter than Okafor, but I don't see the upside in taking him in the top 15. More skilled bigs in this draft for me are: Spellman, Bamba, Ayton, Bagley.

Bagley and skilled don’t really go hand in hand. Guy shoots 50s from FT and looks super awkward.

Whats the highest draft pick that one year of Kawhi is worth?

Depends on team obv. If it was cavs with bron then #5 sounds about right but he's basically worthless for anyone else with a top 9 pick for one year

This might be the most hilarious quote from a prospect.

That quote alone would cause me to drop him a few spots on my board.

why is that quote so absurd? he's a 6'11 ballhandler who can chuck it.

yes he's nowhere near those guys, but who else do you want him to compare himself to?

Really fine line between being uber confident in interviews and moving up 3 spots and being a bit too cocky and moving down 3 spots.

as someone that watched zero Texas games, has Bamba always had that shot? Great form. Slow release, but that obv doesn't matter with a 9'+ release point.

other than "they're the Kings", and maybe "Doncic doesn't want to play there", why are the Kings doing the cliche draft thing of creating these smokescreens of "maybe we'll draft Bagley???", "maybe we'll draft Porter???", etc? what is there to be gained? maybe the best answer is that they're thinking of trading down? otherwise you only need 2 options.
(but most likely 1, as the Suns are probably taking Ayton)

I read this:

https://www.theringer.com/platform/a...-draft-lottery

Which said he reworked his form with a trainer recently.

it's crazy how these guys can improve aspects of their game significantly in a few weeks. I read about the Bamba jump shot too - and Trae Young said he added 10 lbs of muscle in 6 weeks.

Him saying it feels good to be in the conversation with those guys when the "conversation" is actually him offering a self-analysis denotes a detachment from reality imo. It's one thing to be confident. It's another to say things to yourself and think they're coming from somewhere else too.

He has Trae-Young #1 & Doncic #12 on his big board, hahaha, i'm done.

He really comes off like one of those self proclaimed geniuses.

Completely casual fan here...

...Really hope the Hawks get Doncic

Haven't felt this strongly about a prospect since the Hawks passed on Chris Paul to take a wing (when they had a glut of wings and no PG's) who wasn't the 4th-best player on his team (damn you, Marvin Williams)

Hawks are almost guaranteed to pass on Doncic in favor of someone more athletic supposedly with more potential upside.

I know the whistle tends to be tighter in Europe on little fouls but Doncic really seems to draw a lot of small fouls from defender being overagressive on him. not sure what that is a function of, him being smart, defenders trying to make a point against the latest hot buzz or just refs being refs but i swear he seems to get 5 free throws every game just from people reaching in
