doncic def in the #1 conversation, how he plays over the next year will make a difference (does he continue his upward trajectory, is he looking more athletic, has he stopped growing?). and then of course what the other guys do in college. porter has a chance to look really really sick in college and be a can't-miss star. imo ayton also has some equity to just school everyone next yr and be a skilled big prospect who has good defensive chops, gonna be hard to pass on that kind of guy for a lolwhite. to me, these top 3 guys look a good bit ahead of other prospects right now. i'd be pretty surprised if bamba sniffs the #1 conversation, he just looks way too dumb and unskilled even if he can be rudy gobert on d (no idea if he can be, his tools are arguably superior, but his feel might be a lot worse)
diallo apparently has a broken shot so i don't see him as a serious potential #1 pick with the above guys in the mix. not that it matters 11months out

more that he doesn't look to be playing ultra hard, he doesn't have to now cos he's a a jokishly overwhelming athlete at hs level, but eventually it could be a big point of difference for him imo. if he's going hard to the rim, rebounding well, and most importantly defending multiple positions, it makes him almost can't miss as a v good nba player along with his shooting
