"This draft sucks" is the type of thing you only hear after the draft and never prior to

2 years ago, people said this draft sucks prior all the time.

This years draft was totally fine. A few young studs and some guys who have chances to be really good in a few years. There are a decent number of fails in the top 10 but that's expected.

Last years draft was rough because Simmons was hurt and Ingram started off awfully; both are looking either great or very solid this year. Benger is straight trash but Brown is a solid rotation player for a contender. There are other solid players as well. While I don't think it's an elite draft it's clearly not a super trash draft.

2015 draft had KAT, Zingus, Turner but a lot of turds mixed in.

2014 is fine expect for Exum and Stauskas. Embiid and Jokic are studs.

2013 is fine except the #1 pick blew (Bennett) but there is 1 HOF player in Giannis and a bunch of other studs/solid players.

Mikal Bridges definitely the guy that will be picked too late for some reason despite being a top 3 player in that draft class now and in the future

Draft should go 1.Doncic, 2.Mikal

then team can draft those flawed players like Ayton, Bamba, Young ...

See here's the thing about NBA Drafts. GMs love to draft on potential so damn much in the top of the draft (see: Hasheem Thabeet) while decent amount of the time in the latter part of the lottery ceilings aren't truly considered (see: Giannis and Kawhi).

I just watched Mikal Bridges in the NCAA title game and his 3 point shot is so wet. Nothing but net over and over. Great form, great lift, I could watch him shoot 3s all day every day and twice on Sundays.

The more that I think about it he probably won't last until #9 for the Knicks. It would really suck to get sniped like the Knicks did with GSW and Steph Curry. The only hope for Knicks fans is that Mikal is 22 this year so some GMs won't even consider him on principle alone in the top of the draft. Plus the draft is so deep anyway. But give me Mikal Bridges over Trae Young, Collin Sexton, and Wendell Carter without question, fo sho.

Speaking of Villanova players, what's the take on Jalen Brunson?

https://www.theringer.com/platform/a...et-frank-mason

I could see him being a great pick for Philly at #23~ and be a positive player for their bench.

Omari Spellman looks like a player. Im not sure he shouldnt enter the draft right now.

Moritz Wagner couldve possibly just improved his stock to a late first rounder.

there are a lot of guards competing for spots in the first round. but a lot of teams should be willing to draft guards with teams having success with super small lineups of late.

I think Duval would be a great get for the 76ers.

I think Brunson is better than Grayson Allen. But I'm an Aaron Holiday fan and theyre both the same age, so it's a toss up between those two

Duval can’t shoot. He’s like a slightly less polished version of young rondo with worse defense.

Maybe even guys like Wendell Carter, Colin Sexton, and Trae Young as well.

Celtics traded out of the #1 slot afterall.

Fultz and Lonzo were pretty highly regarded by most though.
Dude what, no. Fultz / Lonzo would be behind Doncic/Ayton and ahead of basically all others and on the JJJ/Bagley tier

You guys are overrating Mikal Bridges. He’s a solid 3D with Ariza upside. Wagner & Spellman? Spellman is 6’8-6’9 and already 21 yrs old. As a redshirt freshmen he’s apart of Nova’s future. Wagner will get drafted in the 2nd round but there’s no NBA role for him.

Jontay Porter declares but won’t hire an agent. I selfishly hopes he drops and comes back to school but man I think he will be a steal for any team at end of first round where it looks like he is mostly projected

Mikal Bridges is a -25lbs, -3 inch wingspan and +2 years older than Kawhi at draft time, he might be the 3rd best NBA player on his own college team

Omari Spellman has the most upside of the Villanova guys. He is 6'9.5, 250lbs w a 7'2 wingspan and a real nice skillset. Still growing into his body but he is incredibly fluid.

I love Jalen Brunson

I didn't say he was "Kawhi" but that's his ceiling. Plus he shoots the lights ****ing out while Kawhi didnt in college.

I've also read that Mikal Bridges has a 7'2" wingspan now. And whoever drafts him will have a strength & conditioning team that will build his body to a 225~lb frame. That's really not up for debate.

Kawhi barefoot is the same height at bridges in shoes. I bet his shoulders are mucb wider also, important things.

Bridges is 2 years older than Kawhi was heading into the draft. What you DO in the pros over what you do in college.

Whats really not up for debate is that you mad bro

Mad? LOL I'm glad you're too dumb to post without typos and proper grammar.

Mikal Bridges will be great. You just watch what he DOES in the pros.

Attack grammar because you don't have an argument. Mikal is more likely the 3rd best pro from this Nova team than an NBA All-Star

Who you got as a better prospect:Bamba or J. Porter?

i was hoping that after espn bought out dx that at least espn's draft site would improve to dx's level or more since there's so much more $$$ to play with, but it still completely sucks. content is bad and there's basic errors like broken links etc

seems like the only reason they bought out givony was to just kill the competition and keep putting out a lol product

Seems like all the Villanova guys are good 3 + D prospects.

Was looking at Eric Paschall of Villanova. Seems Draymond Greenish at 6'7 250ish 6'10 wingspan although hes a much more explosive athlete than Draymond. Started 2/27 from 3 point range in his first 14 games this year and finished 34/74 from 3 during the rest of the schedule

In conference play, he was 71% from 2 and 46% from 3. .724 TS %.

He is younger than Mikla Bridges. Seems like a guy who shouldnt fall past the late first round.
