spicy from dean
doncic shooting 30% from 3 is pretty annoying for the hype train, and it's truly an ok reason to discount him, but i think it's likely not reflective of his nba potential as a shooter. i think this because;
- very good shooter otherwise (ft%), and this is a career low % for him
- he takes a lot of hard ones (and looks comfortable doing so)
- his form looks good, and is versatile enough get lots of shots up
- he kinda sucked 2nd half of the year and seemed banged up generally
- he seems good enough at everything else that 3pt mediocrity may not prevent him from being great offensively
that said doncic is generally not looking like quite the megaelite prospect he was earlier in the year and is possibly more of a 'normal' #1 type prospect
i think dean is too low on mikal bridges - i think his points would be totally true if he was merely a 'good' shooter. but it really seems he's a solid chance to be a legit elite one. when danny green / covington are shooting 40% from 3 at volume they are legitimately some of the best additions to a team you can make in terms of value added for an off-ball player
