Anyone else love this class? There are some great prospects throughout round 1

Staps is hot garbage but the stench of the Knicks is so strong he could be a servicable 8th man in a better environment.

Would it be better to give up the protected LA/Philly/Sacto pick than Brooklyn 2018 so that the Celtics still have a shot at a future #1?

Some Celtics fans seem intent on finding a way to involve Carmelo Anthony in the deal.

I would think Porzingis for #1 is where I'd start. @Capone, even if they are trading him his value is sky-high, tbh I think it's a good idea to let him go and try to get Danny to unload his war chest. It allows them to get a ~25% Doncic equity vs. probably something in the 5% range next year and be able to perform an actual proper rebuild.

Sure but if i'm new york i'm not doing that deal, i think Boston should throw in brooklyn 2018 pick & make it a done deal, think new york would take it & they can still go after hayward in free agency & butler as well. They wouldn't be able to pay all those guys once their contracts are up but i wouldn't care, you figure that out later.

Isiah/butler/hayward/horford/porzingis is like a instant nba finals matchup vs golden state.

I actually prefer them going after porzingis with alot of those pieces or waiting a year & pretty much giving everything for anthony davis if the experiment with demarcus doesn't work.

Btw why is everyone here so high on Doncic? i don't get it.

If it doesn't work out for the Pelicans, do you think they trade Davis and try to re-sign Cousins, or do you think they let Cousins walk for nothing (or trade him for whatever they can get at the deadline) and to build around Davis?

They aren't trading him now but they gave up whatever assets they had to get demarcus, if the experiment fails & cousins leaves for nothing then they have Davis & nothing else & will suck for the rest of his contract. If Ainge offers; avery bradley contract, jaylen brown & all 6 of their picks in 2018-2019 with 2-3 of them being top 10 picks i think they would be fools not to take it.

Why wouldn't the celts just trade fultz for staps? That's a real win/win

I thought the triangle offense eschews the use of star point guards. For there to be a trade, I think the Knicks want the ability to take Jackson at #3 plus a SG who is a good fit for the triangle. That is not Avery Bradley (or Marcus Smart or Isaiah Thomas). A realistic KP-to-Boston trade might involve finding a third team who can supply the personnel that Phil wants.

running the triangle isn't really a reason not to take a pg. all offensive schemes require ball handlers/initiators. you wouldn't want a pg, or any perimeter player, who couldn't play w/o the ball though

JJ not working out for Boston unless they promise him they are keeping the pick. Even more of a reason for Ainge to trade it

Lakers trade D'angelo and Mozgov to Nets for Brook Lopez and pick #27

Looking more like Lonzo in LA now

Wtf, i don't get how teams in the 6-12 range didn't trade their pick for Russell, clearly those rumors were more than that.

it's practically a market inefficiency that teams are only now starting to get sharp at. hell, the cleveland browns did it to take the albatross that was brock osweiler

if you're tanking, you can get free gifts just by taking on the worst contracts in the league. 76ers were the gods of this.

What a catastrophic **** show that Mozgov contract was. NOBODY COULD HAVE KNOWN. **** me.

I was high on DAR... we took lumps playing him through growing pains and I feel like he was finally about to be good.

I hope this means that we're gonna trade 27 and 28 and Randle or Clarkson for PG and then get Lebron next year. There has to be a bigger plan here, right?

YUP.

The Unicorn has been misused and shunned far too often in the new city of York.
