Not sure why Meeks isn't an NBA prospect. Good size and strength. Teriffic rebounder. Seems pretty solid defensively. He is obviously chunky and not very athletic but plenty of bigs in that mold have been very good NBA players.

I'd have to guess if he tries to bang with other 4s and 5s near his size he's probably get owned. Like he can bang around with college centers bc they're 50 lbs lighter than he is.

He's also only 6'9" and not athletic at all.

He's an undersized slow fat old school 4 that can't shoot. He'd be a prospect in 1985 nba.

Meeks seems like Sean May except worse and without as much shooting ability and May wasn't able to contribute in the league a decade ago.

May also kept eating. He probably could have decent but he didn't work on his conditioning and body. I think in the current NBA, Meeks will struggle unless he loses MORE weight and gets a little better jumper. Guys already lost what 60-80 pounds, he needs to lose some more. May wasn't awful his first 2 years in very limited minutes--15.3 PER, 47% TS% (bad) (400 minutes), 19.1 PER, 55% TS% (840 minutes) but fell off a cliff his last 2 years 6.2 PER in 300 minutes and 11.7 in 331 minutes.

Not many teams bang anymore except Memphis but even they are going smaller.

Once you realize everyone from UNC under Roy sucks, life gets easier.

He just seems very skilled under the glass. You can always lose weight and build muscle.

Some good coach is going to fall in love with justin jackson. He'll go late enough to fall to a decent team.

Friend and I are looking to make a prop bet for next season. De'Aaron Fox vs. Lonzo Ball Rookie year PER. What'd you set the line at?

I personally think Fox would be a better PER bet. Lonzo gonna have a lot of turnovers as a rookie and Fox should have a high usage on a bench unit.

That said if you want fox you could probably hustle a little bit and get a point or .5

Starting to think a bad team may not want Lonzo Ball just because friction may be created in the locker room when his Dad starts blaming all the losses on the rest of the team being terrible which seems inevitable at this point.

Hopefully NBA players and coaches are mature enough to know what his dad says isn't what Lonzo thinks himself.

Still the media circus that results could impact other players and even Ball himself, when he keeps getting asked about his Dad's comments

His dad really does rightfully hurt his draft stock imo.

So I haven't been following the draft at all this year mainly because it's impossible for me to have any interest in college bball and know the strict minimum i.e. the draft is stacked, deep, PG heavy and Lonzo Ball's dad is a turd. See a bunch of names on twitter/nba discussions etc but really know nothing about their style.

Will try to watch videos etc but as of now anyone care to compare the top 5 prospects (fultz, ball, jackson, tatum, fox according to draftexpress) to current NBA players? Obviously i know those comparisons are kinda silly for several reasons but it's always a simple and fun way to kinda have a better idea about their respective styles.

Fox - John Wall
Tatum - Carmelo

Where would Lonzo Ball have the best fit as far as teams in the lottery?

Broussard and Colin Cowherd talked briefly about his possible (great) fit in Minnesota playing alongside Towns and Wiggins.

I would enjoy seeing him play with Porzingis, and it would probably be good to be 3k miles away from his father.
