I can see a more athletic Conley.

They have Simmons.

Monk could light it up playing catch and go off the ball

It blows my mind that anyone else is in the discussion. He's so good. Fultz isn't close to him as a passer or a shooter. It's legit a taller Steph Curry with LeBron's court vision. Obv he isn't as good as either at those things but those are his comps imo. He just makes it look so easy. It will be the biggest mistake since Darko>Melo/Wade/Bosh if Fultz (or anyone else) goes #1.

I saw someone earlier say that if Ball goes to LA it's bye bye Russell. Both are good shooters, and Ball has the height/length to cross-match, why can't the play together? Ball/Russell/Ingram/Randle/Zubac would be sweet. If the Knacks get Ball they have title equity next year. He's what STAPS needs.

yea but the thing is that they have KP/WILLY already. then throw in Kyle O'quinn and the legendary JOAKIM.

i wouldn't necessarily hate it but guard + wings are the Knicks clear need. also PHIL will never commit to a full rebuild

Nah lol Knicks

There's no one on earth who makes them title contenders next year. Maybe not be any two people.

Bolded is crazy to me. They had very similar shooting numbers this year from 3, both are in the mid-60s in FT%, and Fultz has shown a lot more ability to be able to work in the mid-range. Plus, his mechanics are just far cleaner. Making any sort of definitive statement regarding their shooting seems like a huge leap based on what we know.

I'd also take Fultz ahead of Ball on many teams. I love Ball but I think Fultz's NBA upside is quite a bit higher.

Lonzo's upside is best player in NBA history. There is no way Fultz has higher upside.

I have a hard time believing that given that he avoids contact like crazy, he's not a good defender, and his athleticism limits him (relative to the top guys) in both regards.

He's not a good defender? He looks good to me, lengthy with good instincts, can potentially defend multiple positions.

Also relevant to comparing the two in terms of shooting: Ball is assisted on 73% of his 3s, Fultz is assisted on 56% of his

Doesn't Fultz just end up in the Lillard/Wall/Kyrie tier at best most of the time?

Lonzo has the highest bball IQ in 20 years and is basically prime Kidd with 40% on 3s. That's like a goatish player.

His length is definitely useful. He has pretty good instincts, but he gambles way too much, especially in on-ball defense. I think his footwork is pretty sloppy - that's probably part of coming from a HS where defense was never played, but it's an issue for me nonetheless. He can be coached up in that regard, but he's got a steep learning curve. That footwork really hurts him in PnR defense.

Lonzo getting slurped way too hard right now

What do you think the Celtics do with the #1 pick if they get it? Seems like they are in win-now mode, so I donno how useful getting another 18-19 year old that does not play is going to be towards that end.

The amount of Lonzo slurping itt is extremely appropriate. He is an insane outlier of skill, smarts, and PG height. People rag on his athleticism but he still has decent hops, people rag on his scoring but he still has decent volume bc his efficiency is so insane.

IMO his floor is Nash-ish and his ceiling is GOAT. He is a godlike prospect.

They should take BPA (i.e. Lonzo) bc they still wanna win in the 2020's and having an entire decade of a franchise changing star in his prime is prettay useful toward that end.

He still shoots like a weirdo.

And anytime TUT goes gung ho on a certain player he is usually wrong. So there's that

Im allin on Miles Bridges as better prospect than De'Aaron Fox, Dennis Smith (both these guys turn out at Reggie Jackson 2.0 a high %), Monk (he sucks, one dimensional), Jon Issac (idk sucks), Robert Williams (c'mon really?), - Frank Ntilinkina (loleuros)

HOT TAKES CENTRAL

Pretty decent take

Only strong disagreement is Fox who I think will be quite good

As someone (the only one?) who watched every UW and every UCLA game this year, let me be the 8th person itt to say:

Fultz is simply not on Lonzo's level. Lonzo is just soooo much smarter (manifests on O and D) and lowkey is ~athlete as Fultz. Lonzo is arguably better one on one, and Fultz doesn't come near to Lonzo in making his teammates better. Lonzo can make ~every play. And if he can't, and this is important b/c I'm not sure I can say the same about anyone else in the class, he will FIGURE IT OUT. He is just that smart.

Saying he's not very good at D betrays a very limited viewing of Bruins basketball. He is elite at using his size and length to shed ball-screeners, and has extremely quick feet and quick reactions to close out and contest shooters. He protects the rim. He grabs contested bounds on both sides. He makes "window" passes that few even see. He's very underrated at rim finishing.

He's just a lock HOF, and I'd bet my life on it Bin Laden dot jpg.
