Cool thx!

That's sorta what I have been hearing about both, but didn't know Lonzo might be this amazing.

If you need anymore convincing Lonzo has the #DeanOnDraft approval.

Vegas odds makers have lonzo being rookie of the year, not sure why they think that, this league values points more than anything else for these awards & no way lonzo scores more than 15pts in his rookie year where as fultz probably get 17-20.

I'll take Dennis Smith at 16:1

He called his shot on the broadcast last night.

Lonzo is going to have that automatic usage. Lakers going to give him the keys from day one. Also playing for LA puts him in the limelight.

OTOH Fultz is on a team with Embiid and Simmons. Simmons will have the ball in his hands at times and Embiid while healthy is going to eat first.

I expect them both to have big rookie years.

Surprisingly the Los Angles Lakers have never had a rookie of the year

His strengths video is so sexy.

Don't know of any other 7 footer with such great footwork and balance around the arc.

I hope I'm wrong but you are lighting money on fire betting on a mavs rookie for rookie of the year with Carlisle coaching.

RC has already said Smith is the starting point guard

Markannen for rookie of the year looks like a +ev bet as well depending on the odds, he should get tonnes of play-time & seems like one of the more nba ready rookies who can put up points. Markannen is basically a more athletic Ryan Anderson right?

i would comfortably fade him in the bulls offense, gl putting up points when your pg is cam payne and your wings are morrow and zipser, jesus christ. they basically gonna have him back up mirotic and coach him to do mirotic things. sounds like drawing dead for ROY.

the ROY blueprint is there already

basically either be a ball dominant high usage PG or be a chalk F/C who's already a lock stud

saric winning ROY would be the first sorta pivot from that mentality since Amare

would comfortably fade Markkanen (and to a lesser extent Tatum) on this logic

It's going to be Lonzo because he's way the best player.

probably, just saying i'd be more inclined to bet Fultz/DSJ at the vegas prices

Yea I know. I'm just worried he will have a quick hook or not play him large enough minutes. He has a way of inexcusably letting young guys get
On his bad side and taking their minutes away from them. I love Rick but it gets maddening at times. Hopefully he will just learn to live with DSJ's growing pains and mistakes though.

fultz is pretty much lock ROY because its (sort: ppg)

if philli has a good season (like near playoffs), fultz gets it for the redemption narrative.

i think lonzo plays well for a rookie but doesnt get much in the way of ppg. also interesting to see whether everyone ends up sick and tired of lavar or if he successfully brings some good attention.

i think tatum is a decent dark horse if he ends up starting at the 4 for stretches, hes a very polished scorer and should have a real easy time on that offense.

Fultz isn't the best rookie on his team. If Philly is good it isn't gonna be him.

If Simmons and Fultz both play at similar levels and the team improves, they could split the Philly vote, while Lonzo gets all the credit for whatever happens for the Lakers.

I forget who studied it but the ROY is 95% the player with the highest total of PPG + APG + RPG.
