So what's the story with OG, I know his stock has dropped since the injury, but he looked pretty carpy from what I saw prior to that.

My team has us taking him.

[edit] I mean, who are the best wing defensive prospects this year and are any available in the 15 range?

Miles Bridges if DEN falls out of playoffs. Rodions Kurucs if he declares. These guys are better than OG because they aren't offensive travesties.

Tyler Lydon PF Syracuse 6'10 205

DraftExpress: 19
NBAdraftnet: 26
Chad Ford: 24

Lydon is tall and can shoot the ball. That is all he can do. He cannot drive. He cannot create his own shot. He passes up open looks to pump fake to nowhere. He is way too skinny and would get run over by an NBA athlete. He's ok at blocking shots but I think that's more to do with the volume of shots he faces inside since the interior defense is poor.

Do not draft.

Their draft hype is a failure by NBA GM’s to identify the nuances between a commonly good skill level and outlier great. This may explain why scouts gravitate toward athleticism– because they actually can detect the nuances that separate the elite from the commonly good without any statistical expertise.
.. this is the good stuff.

John Collins seemed sick. IDK if hes an NBA player or not, but he can score.

Jayson Tatum is an NBA player. I am sure of that at this point. Guy has been a MAN as of late to the point that my only concern is that he might be 40 based on how much of a man he is.

Tatum is on the rise for sure. Dudes putting it together. Good Athlete who can flat out score.

The more I watch prospects in this draft the more excited I get about it. Draft is stacked.

Tatum has been awesome as a college 4 but lets be real - hes limited as a pro 3(his only real projection). If youre drafting him, youre gambling he can both giard NBA wings and routinely get to the basket vs NBA wing defenders. Hes turned into an awesome college 4 but I dont see how he turns into a real NBA player.

Id take Miles Bridges over him and be happy.

I've only seen his last couple games in full outside of some highlight plays/draftexperess vids. Hes looked really good in those though. I may need to watch him some more. I may be overrating his athletic ability as i seen a highlight of him throwing it down on a 7 footer that made me think DAMN.

Currently my not expert at all scouting has him as Rudy Gay on the lower end-Paul Pierce on the high end. For sure a nba player though. The experts scouting reports are pretty good that ive seen on him and i imagine will only get better if he keeps playing this way.

Tatum's weakness is his decision making and overconfidence. He is a bit of a ball stopper and doesn't have the best shot selection, but his ability to score is top notch. He will definitely be able to score in the NBA. His FT shooting is pretty elite too and I imagine he will be able to get to the line in the NBA.

Tatum's rapidly improving. His first six games (coming back from injury) are weighing down his averages, but he's been killer and very efficient recently. The overall effect is that because the coming-back-from-injury games were against noncon opponents, he's been better against the stronger competition.

I don't see how him guarding NBA wings is a concern. He's 6'8, long and athletic. His defense has been good thus far in college. Not a concern. At minimum he projects as a 3/D small forward, and if he can get to the basket as well he has star potential.

Yeah I could just be wrong and underrating his athleticism who knows. I'll be interested in how tests at the combine.

I think he will be able to get to the basket in the NBA. I've got him as the clear top Duke prospect since Kyrie.

I don't know if he's clearly better than Jabari was. I'd say in the same neighborhood as Jabari. Probably a better defender than Jabari, with somewhat similar offensive game. I guess slightly better than Jabari.

Simmons vs Fultz is a fun debate. Think Id personally take Simmons but cant imagine its definitive either way.

If Simmons was in this draft class he would be no where near as hyped as he was last season as a prospect. The best players in the NCAA were Simmons,Ingram, and old guys like Buddy,Dunn, and Poeltl. The media built Simmons up to be a god but he has plenty of flaws. He would be the 4th best prospect and theirs multiple guys behind him who could still pass him as the season goes on.

Actually I remember reading multiple experts talking about they would take Ingram over Simmons. The consensus might of been Simmons but their was for sure some talk that Ingram was the better pick.
