i see Dillon Brooks has gone from a mid-late 1st in 2016 to a 2nd in 2017 on DraftExpress, so is "good college player who might as well hang around for 4 years" his ceiling now or what?

It's going to be pretty sick when the wolves get buddy in around pick 5-7 and then don't make the playoffs for the next 3 years because of Sam Mitchell.

If he cuts down the turnovers and becomes a more consistent three point shooter I dont see why he can't be a first round pick next year.

And I'm not sure how the pick works, but if it's the case that the Lakers could use it this year regardless of how the lotto ends up, we could make the pick probably as valuable as it'll ever be.

Dar is significantly better than okafor and it's not even close. The pick is top 3 protected meaning the Lakers get the pick of it lands in the top 3. And then next year it's unprotected meaning whatever pick they end up with the 76ers get

I also like him better, but to say "it's not even close" isn't fair. Neither have been amazing, both have shown that they'll prob be solid starters, but both have also shown plenty of weaknesses and are still pretty raw and unproven... Neither of these guys is a lock to be a perennial all star.

It's rare to find a guy with Jah's combo of size and touch. He's also prob more coachable. Depending on need, plenty of teams would be more interested in him than DAR.

Also, Okafor is obviously a better asset than the Lakers protected pick. It will either be 4 or 5 in a bad draft -- or it is top 3 protected next draft. The Sixers were reportedly offered the Nets pick this year for Okafor and turned it down. That pick has much more value than the top 3 protected Lakers pick.
