If Dray never plays again and Kuminga turns into Jalen Brown the Warriors will be OK

It's mostly just that Durant's career overlapped so much with LeBron. Just completely overshadowed and slapped around by somebody way better than him.

He didn't add much on defense and wasn't able to pull up other players around him compared to Lebron. That's not goat level potential. He's just a great great player but goat was never his ceiling.

Curry probably the GOAT of all time if we're just talking pure skill. He's the GOAT sub 6'5 player.

Put Curry's skill in LeBron s body and you have a video game cheat code level player.

If injuries don't beset Harden/Kyrie in the Nets first year together there was a pretty damn good chance they win it all then.

the Nets are turrible again. Bridges has been awful on this busy stretch, 4-21 tonight.

Kings got worked by a Boston team that went OT yesterday and was without Tatum

If Presti doesn't panic trade Harden, Durant would (probably) have had 2+ rings at an age at which Lebron and MJ had zero.

I don't even like KD. But I understand how everyone's fate regarding rings is inevitably tied into a bunch of stuff over which the player has zero control.

they went to the Finals and took the Heatles to 6, iirc, and they were all like 22 years old

edit: it was 5, not 6 -- still though

The OKC rings stuff is whatever because he equally lucked out that the team that drafted him luckboxed 2 MVP's on top of that as they got rid of the better one before his prime years

It's more indeed the fact his best years were wasted by Russ. there was that one year iirc where Russ was injured most of the year and he won MVP

His defense in GS was tremendous when he got to carry less of a load on offense

It's hard to feel too bad for any negative variance KD has had in his career when he won 2 fake rings that most people seem to count as real rings for some reason.

Wasted yes maybe but he still got in the finals vs LeBron and they were up 3-1 in the west CF vs warriors and they manage to lose it .

Best tools ever is the definition of goat potential. Loser mentality is what separates KD from Lebron and MJ, not talent.
