5 games for Draymond is a joke. At this point, I think even 20 games for Draymond is a joke.

He put a guy in a choke hold for 5+ seconds on a basketball court. That should be an unacceptable behavior for even 1 second. There is actually zero reason, ever, for anyone on any basketball court, let alone a professional NBA court on television, to be in a choke hold by anyone. That's just barbaric bush league behavior, and that idiot really deserved to be gone the whole rest of the season given his history.

It's really ****ing old watching Draymond continually put other players at risk for injury.

That is a tough spot as Dray's coach, and I've always tried to accept Steve's position as that. Because I respect Steve and his opinions. But yeah, at a point, you have to call out your guy for what he is. I think that point was now, and likely before now. But definitely after now given the severity of the infraction.

I mean, he sucker punched a guy during practice for talking ****, were going to do nothing if the video didn’t leak, and ended up just doing a fine so he could get his ring with his buddies.

That’s a pretty clear message to everyone that he’s above the law

Draymond obviously was wrong for punching Poole. That probably won't be the last time Poole is punched by a teammate, but it was still an idiotic thing to do.

Also, Draymond punched Poole for a very dumb reason (because Poole was talking ****). If Draymond had punched Poole for having no interest in playing winning basketball, that would be more understandable, though still unjustified.

Even to me, it's shocking how terrible Poole has been this year. 59 players in the league are averaging 14 or more shot attempts per game. Among players in that group, Poole is last in scoring and 55th in FG%.

Among the 109 players who play as many or more MPG as Poole, only six have a lower TS% than Poole.

Not that I think Poole was destined for greatness, but the Warriors experience probably ****ed with his head. All that talk about how he was groomed to be the next Steph and how he was the key to their two tier future etc.

He was a late pick that turned into a top tier 6th man and possible fringe AllStar. Plus he was a perfect fit for that team that has no creation when Steph sits. Could have been a great situation, and fantastic value for the Warriors. Instead it seems like he started hot dogging and pissing everyone off both on and off the court and now he’s looking like a JAG with a top ceiling of Jordan Clarkson, and an avg outcome of Jordan Crawford.

In nay normal job Draymond would have been fired several times already. Laying hands on a coworker is unimaginable in most jobs (Gobert is a coworker too).

I know, the intensity of competition and all that bullshit, as if nor.al jobs aren't intense sometimes too. No fireman punches a colleague and stays employed.
