Haliburton out of the game with left leg soreness.
I didn't notice what happened.
Looked like he stepped on Pascal's ankle on a switch, seems to land awkwardly and they said he aggravated the hamstring injury. They're getting an MRI so you have to think he'll be done for the year.
They were +1300 most places yesterday, you gotta shop!!
I unloaded on the Liberty at +250 on bol, they were +180/-220 on circa, so that'll be a fun sweat for the full season.
Hard to triangulate the Vegas lines with so much movement in the early season, but I think they are only a point worse than the Aces, and Conn and Seattle both look worse than their preseason projections, and it doesn't look like anybody has emerged from the atl/min/dallas/phx middle class.
Think Indiana has looked better every game. Fagbenle for Samuelson is a big upgrade, Samuelson has been their biggest negative so far imo and Fagbenle actually sprints down the floor and helps CC get the transition game going and can actually catch the ball and make layups. Boston looked better last game but still doesn't look great. I didn't watch a single game last year, but she was ROY with incredible advanced stats, so I'm not sure what happened. Switching to a short roll and floater off of the CC pnr instead of trying to roll all the way to the bucket was an improvement last game though.
Nobody wants to start 0-4 but all 4 games are against 2 of the top-3 teams, and apparently 8 out of the 12 WNBA teams make the playoffs so I think they'll probably be fine.
Fever gonna finally get a dub tomorrow? These girls fouling CC like she is MJ in 1989
Jason Kidd is opting for zone mostly vs Twolves to give Antman the “LeBron” treatment that the 2011 Mavs did. That’s why the Twolves shot so many 3s in game 1.
