Probably just don't want to have to run him out there against the Stealers, Saints and Ravens. He will get the nod against the Titans after they start 0-3
My prediction: Hoyer stars the season and the F.O. intends to stick Manziel in after 5-6 games if they need a spark (performance or PR).
Hoyer gets injured near the end of like game 3. Manziel played lights out for the last quarter in a losing effort. Cleveland fans are giddy and the media hype is out of control for a week. Then Manziel has a mediocre game 4, then a worse game 5. Then an awful game 6 (except for that one pass!). Then 2 more really bad games and Cleveland trades for Matt Hasselbeck or some other journeyman former starter.
JFF gets benched. Hassel comes in and fans talk about his veteran leadership and maybe they can go 5-3 or something and eek out a wild card. Hassel plays as expected and goes 4-4 or something and they miss the playoffs.
Clevelend drafts a QB next year top 10. JFF makes a rap video.
I took the kids to an Atlanta-area Dave & Busters last night and saw a guy with a Browns "Just one before I die" shirt. I gave him a thumbs-up inside my head.
The fact he wants to **** up his whole career when he can easily be a top 10 WR is why he is such a ******. The substance abuse policy is lol. But Josh Gordon is clearly not a smart cookie.
