4 TD's, 200+ yards, still pretty amazing.

Skins had 356 yards in the second quarter of that game, which is crazy.

Though he missed on in the Pro Bowl. Nevermind it's shot and he sucks
Gary Anderson missed the biggest kick of the entire season, a sub 40 yd FG that would have sent them to the SB.

Vanderjagt missed a 50+ yard FG in the pro bowl that would have sent the game to OT. Most of his own team probably wanted him to miss it, he might have even tanked it himself.

It was about a 37-yarder to Paul Stansi. And no it's not etched into my brain or anything. This is really the only decent Chiefs/Seahawks game anyone can remember from their old afc west days.

Ok just watched the video, 31-yards. Ugh, Derrick, just once can you make the grab there? How sucky is it to have the greatest game in pass rushing history end like that? Shottenheimeritis in full bloom there - it curses every city it touches - and never goes away.

Steve Young had 6TD passes in his superbowl(going to be pretty tough to top that)

On the other hand Manning had 6 once against the Chargers. I don't think he's gonna get benched regardless of what he does in a single game. There's a lot of guys who fall into that category who could put up some big INT numbers.

I guess I could see Favre or Cutler pulling this off as well.

The 4 straight SB losses by the same team is probably not something we'll see again with free agency being what it is today, in a 32 team league. There hasn't even been a team to lose consecutive SBs in the last 15 years. Pretty meaningless record imo, but seems less likely to be broken when compared to say, an individual player going into unreal freak mode in one game.

Having just said that, Young's 6 passing TDs in the SB is pretty hard to top. The 7 TD mark hasn't been hit in 40 years and limiting it to the SB makes it even tougher. Not impossible to tie as 6 is hit now and again, but very unlikely. 7 pretty much no way.

8 sacks (and to a lesser extent, 8 passing TDs) in a game would be insane, but it doesn't have to be in a SB for the record to be broken.

I know. I just think adding "in a super bowl" is pretty arbitrary that's all.

Like if Manning throws 7 TDs in a game this year people will say "That's pretty amazing but it's not like it was during a Super Bowl. Steve Young still the best at throwing touchdowns in a Super Bowl!"

It takes years to appear against a team 18 times, in whatever regard. I know it's the Lions but still it seems awfully impressive to me.
