Poor Brady fans. Gotta be tough after all those years of thinking it was close.

Arguable that Gary Anderson's perfect season (35/35 FG, 59/59 XP) was better than Vanderjagt's (37 and 46 respectively).

Of course, Anderson was only perfect in the regular season.

Adrian Peterson has a realistic chance to break it. He might be the last one, though.

Only four Super Bowls away from breaking Montana and Bradshaw's record, super excited for that to happen over the next six years or so.

Should be noted that Vandy perfect streak started at the end of 2002 and led into the 2004 season when it finally ended at 42 regular season field goals (Anderson had 38 if you include the last game of the 1997 season).

Has anyone mentioned Larry Johnson's 416 carries yet?

George Blanda. Playing 26 seasons has to be near impossible to break.

Only unbreakable if they never increase the length of the season given that many teams are going RBBC nowadays. But even if they expanded the season, LJ would likely hold the record for carries per game (26).

Since LJ's 2006 season, only 4 players have had seasons with over 350 carries:

Michael Turner (2008) - 376
Adrian Peterson (2008) - 363
Chris Johnson (2009) - 358
Arian Foster (2012) - 351

Morton Andersen played for 25 seasons. Definitely not impossible.

Despite Blanda playing for 26 seasons, three players played more games than he did:

Morten Andersen (382)
Gary Anderson (353)
Jeff Feagles (352)
George Blanda (328)

Of course the difference being that Blanda played when seasons were 12 and 14 games long. Hard to say if he'd play enough of those additional games to overcome Andersen's total.

As of today, Luck has attempted 214 straight passes without being sacked. That's 3rd all time. 2nd is Mark Rypien with 252 back in 1991.

The record is Dan Marino back in 1988-1989 with 759 straight attempts without a sack, Thank that qualifies for this thread.

And he never took a shotgun snap IIRC

Actually, that would be quite incorrect

It's still got to be Emmitt's rushing yards or Jerry's yards from scrimmage. And here's me thinking a couple of seasons ago that Bell might get close

That Steelers pyth w/l was 12.5-1.5, better than '84 49ers, '85 Bears, and '07 Patriots. Probably best in Super Bowl era.

Of course my Raiders trounced them on the way to SB XI win.

Raiders only beat them because they had too many injuries

Yes, injuries. Explains Bradshaw's worst game as a pro. At least Raiders could not ice the field outside the hashes as other northeast team(s) were prone to do back in the day

Jerry Rice played in an era when the league wasn't as pass happy.

Not only does he hold the record for most receiving yards (22,895), but he has a whopping 43% more than second place (Fitzgerald, 15,975)

Sort of like how Dan Marino's 5k / 48 TD season in 1984 is the equivalent of like 7000 yards and 80 TDs today

Marino also had like 6 seasons where he was sacked 10 times or fewer, incredible

It's even more amazing when you realized Marino was a slow statue back there. He had the quickest release I've ever seen. It was so hard to get to him before he threw the ball.

Over 10,000 straight snaps is crazy, but the active leader isn't as far back as you might think.

Chiefs offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz just passed 7,000 last night.
