I'm gonna guess that's where the century and double century terminology comes in.

it's a rumor so there's no way to be sure but supposedly only the niners and cowboys were interested in drafting rice where he went because he was so slow.

Is Mourinho's unbeaten at home record still going?

Edit - Heh apparently so

Quote:
As of 9 May 2010, Mourinho is on a run of 136 home league matches unbeaten: 38 (W36–D2) with Porto, 60 (W46–D14) with Chelsea and 38 (W29–D9) with Internazionale.

His last and only home league defeat came when Porto were defeated 3–2 by Beira-Mar on 23 February 2002.[60]

Completely random, but I had a season in Madden where I was 15-1. My only loss was 35-8.

Back on topic, Wilt's rebounding stats are amazing. 22.9 rpg for his career.

With Jose Calderon’s three-pointer at the 7:56 mark of the first quarter February 24, 2009 versus Minnesota, the Toronto Raptors’ streak of consecutive games with at least one made three-point field goal reached the 10-year mark. The streak began when Vince Carter recorded the first triple at the 7:43 mark during the first quarter February 26, 1999 versus Minnesota. A decade later, the streak continues to grow – 837 consecutive games and counting. Toronto’s next game is Friday at Phoenix.

Several records have been set by the Raptors during the span of the streak. Morris Peterson connected on a three-pointer during the first quarter March 12, 2005 against Indiana to extend the streak to 595 consecutive games, surpassing the previous record of 594 set by Miami in 2001. Toronto also made an NBA record 21 three-pointers during a game March 13, 2005 versus Philadelphia. The record finally fell earlier this season when Orlando made 22. Also, the Raptors have made a three-pointer in every game played at Air Canada Centre since the building opened February 21, 1999.

i cant find confirmation but i believe its still on and at something like 930 by now. the last confirmation i can find was that i was at 918 on march 1.

i remember watching the game versus dallas where the raps were getting crushed (standard) and hadn't hit a 3. darrick martin jacked up a buzzer beater that kept the streak alive. still dont know if they knew about the streak at the time, im sure they do now.

gay video but still has the clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ae8JZ08j0dU

Germany's current run of 15 consecutive appearances in the last 8 of the World Cup is pretty damn impressive.

They've also reached the semi-finals in over 70% (12/17) of the World Cups they've participated in.

What's the highest scoring pair of NHL brothers?

The Gretzky's. Wayne had 2,857 points and Keith had 4 points.

seems that as of march 1 when the raps were at 918, dallas was at 916. weird that the raptors have crushed the past record but the next best team is that close. i wonder if at any point dallas have played enough more games than the raps in a given season and have taken the lead.

Is dueling done with guns? And you actually try to shoot one another?

What's underwater swimming? Person who stays under the longest wins?

Duelling was done with pistols. Disappointingly it used dummies with targets on them.

The winner of the underwater swimming event was determined by the distance travelled.

Most HRs by brothers:

The Aaron's: Hank had 755. Tommie had 13.

Also, Wikipedia (and Hockeydb.com) says Keith Gretzky never played in the NHL.

Tommie Aaron definitely played in the majors:

Just watched the movie about Brian Clough (That Damn United?) and not really a stat, but more of a feat, but I have to believe that Nottingham Forest winning back to back Euro Cups (modern day Champions League) has to be one of the most impressive things to happen in sports ever. He also won the Premier League the year after being promoted from the 2nd division. Can't imagine that's even remotely possible now, unless it was some fluke like Juventus being relegated due to cheating.

Darryl Sittler's 10 points (6 G, 4 A) in a single NHL game. Good luck with this ever being broken.

Ron Hunt being HBP 50x in one season.

Chris Gardocki went his entire NFL career without having one of his punts blocked...1,177 consecutive punts without a block.

Calvin Murphy also holds the record for most illegitimate children from a professional athlete with 14.
